Scripture Encouragement and a Sewing Project

Greetings sisters in the Lord!

I hope and pray that this finds you striving on faithful and obedient to our holy Lord in all things.

(I think that's a funny picture. I was prewashing and drying all my fabric I had bought. The rooster was being his usual self when he's around me, which is pretending to eat, but he's just watching me very closely. He's a master deceiver.)

I share a selection of scriptures to ponder.

"That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."
Ephesians 4:22-24

"For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:"
Ephesians 5:8

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
Ephesians 5:11

"That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God."
Philippians 1:10-11

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."
1 John 4:4,7

I was blessed to be able to do a sewing project over these last few days and I enjoyed it.

I've been working on these hanging pocket organizers...

I may well think of adding these to my sewing shop offerings. Perhaps someone else might want them.

I just share some pictures of this...a bit of my Titus 2 work.

Making bias tape....

Which is an awesome thing as it hides much and strengthens it all...

One of my earthly sisters gave me these sewing clips...and they have been so useful especially for thick fabrics and many layers of fabrics where pins would be a bother and wouldn't handle it.

And then you have to clean up your mess on the floor:-)

And putting in the final stitches, sewing on the binding. I was concerned that the machine wouldn't sew through all the layers (as the day before I'd had a few issues) but it worked well. I had a size 16 jean denim needle in...so I guess that made a difference. There were at least 8-16 layers of fabric to pierce through!

It's satisfying to be done...

They have two loops for hanging....

And finally the "critical testing stage" 😊...

Moments of truth to see if all the efforts were worth anything:-) Time will tell if they endure. Just like us sisters we have to endure faithful in the Lord until the end.

I also made some custom curtains...

(Yes that's all a lot of chocolate and caramel colour...or cookies and cream:-)

I am making these for my fellow keeper-at-home sister-in-the-Lord (and her husband) who live 24/7 in their campervan, travelling proclaiming the gospel to this wicked, dark, and dying world.
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
Mark 16:15

And here's some blessings of fresh garden produce we had tonight.

Cucumber and capsicums...

And steamed zucchini (which is steaming up the camera)....

And pumpkin. A bread knife is the best knife for cutting into these tough skins. Sometimes it feels like you need an axe or a chainsaw though:-) (my brothers usually help me out with cutting them though:-)

And you can see today's pear preserving in the background too. You can see a post here that I did on more of that.

And corn...

Which is an extra treat as the mice got to most of our crop...

Just some Proverbs 31/Titus 2 sisters' things for you. Speaking of which, you can see my series I recently did on the Titus 2 woman here if you like.

And for something a little bit different....

(and I say amen to that one!)

But I was on my evening walk a bit later than usual tonight, and these three verses came to me...so I took pictures to add them to to share here:-)

(Thankfully there's nothing dangerous here:-)

Amen! And if we are born from above by the spirit of God, walking in all of His ways and seeking His truth, then we know we are safe in His care.

I treasure my evening walks after my busy days...before my busy nights (working on my blog etc) :-) I'm blessed with the opportunity to come and write to you daily on my blog here and edify one another in the faith. Let us take this scripture seriously.

"But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."
Hebrews 3:13

And here's a flower for my sisters-in-the-Lord who are striving to be obedient to all His commands.

And I leave with a scripture picture my sister-in-the-Lord sent me today.

With love in Christ,

...from a daughter of His

See the biblical gospel here and test yourself to it. So many are deceived in these last days.
