Another Day...in the Lord

Greetings in our Lord...

...to my holy and obedient sisters in Him.

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:5-6

Amen. We need to constantly be on guard examining our life, our heart, our motives, our actions. We need to be on guard for the wicked one too. There's so much in the Word about being aware and warnings to not be deceived. That means it can happen...and it is happening...though most people think they aren't.

"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness."
2 Peter 3:17

Here's another woman doing a good work...a maid who had faith that the prophet of the Lord could heal the man's disease.

"Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.

And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.

And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel."

2 Kings 5:1-4

What did I do today...

Perhaps by sharing you may be encouraged in the simple life that many of us godly women live. We all have much in common...but a little variation here and there. Because of the Holy Spirit, our love for God, and our knowledge of the Word and the Lord's commands we will be similar in many ways. And each day we have from the Lord will be different. We may not have tomorrow...but this is some of what I did today.

In the morning, I did more sewing. Made this purse for a sister in the Lord.

Then I enjoyed communication with my sister in the Lord. 📱💬

Washed dishes. 🍴

Heated up leftovers for dinner. 🍲

Made a pear caramel pudding...

Saw this little rainbow....

Saw these clouds on my walk in God's creation...

Saw some chickens roosting high in the tree...

(You can spot one. A few of them insist on going to sleep there sometimes...hopefully safe from foxes.)

And earlier saw these 2 roosters hanging around my window...

Cut my brother's hair ✂

And now I'm writing to you on this blog. It may not seem like much but it was a busy day. All filled with good things for a Titus 2 woman.

Let us consider all our words too...

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer."
Psalm 19:14
"Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few."
Ecclesiastes 5:1-2

And a psalm to edify...

"I waited patiently for the Lord ; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."

Psalm 40:1-8

Praise and glory unto our God! I'm thankful for His Word, His Son, His mercy, forgiveness, and grace, His love, His long-suffering and the blessing that I get to be one of His daughters. And there's so much more to be grateful for. May we all be of a grateful heart. And fear and obey Him!

Well until tomorrow, Lord willing...go in peace and press on in the Lord, sisters!

Love and peace in Christ,

...from a daughter of God

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."

2 Peter 3:18
