Today's Edification (25 May 2024)

Greetings my sisters!

I'm back because I can be! The Lord granted that option to me and so I came here to share a little encouragement to you who love and obey the Lord. I hope you're pressing on.

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Luke 20:35-36

I love that scripture. There's a lot in there to ponder. Being equal to the angels. That's amazing. And not dying anymore...we know that's eternal life which we find through obeying Jesus! That's awesome! Obtaining 'that world' and the resurrection! That's glorious! Being counted worthy for all that...is such a hard concept to ponder sometimes. It doesn't matter how we were raised or what life we lived before being in Christ. Some lived more separate from the world and others lived right in it. We all know how terrible even one sin is so there's no way any one of us deserves heaven or are better than any other. All are guilty before God and need a mighty Saviour to save!

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 John 1:10

I have never thought I deserved to go to heaven just because the Lord spared me from committing any 'weightier' sins. I know how high the bar is and that the righteous will scarcely be saved.

It's up to Him if He let's me in although He has promised eternal life to those who believe. Let us lean all on Him for our salvation and not on any of our works to save us...as there's no way they could. But without good works we won't make it either as they justify our true belief. So let's keep striving in great humility towards the One who loved us and gave Himself for us.

Let us strive to walk worthy as hard as that sounds...because we are nothing and He is so high and holy.

This scripture has a way of giving you a glimpse of the awe and majesty of our holy Lord.

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Isaiah 6:1-7

That's our glorious God and King, sisters.

Does it not make you feel like our brother John in this scripture when he saw our Saviour in Revelation?

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelation 1:17-18

Only in Christ can we ever have that hope of being found worthy, and this life is a balance between great confidence in Him and great meekness and lowliness...and fear and trembling and knowing it is possible to come short.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 4:1
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Ephesians 3:11-12
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12

We remember that goodness and severity of God don't we. It would be foolish to focus on one without the other.

I decided to read some scriptures on worthy...

I hope those blessed you. Our God is good.

A sister shared this scripture today and it goes along with what I was thinking and sharing...

We know we must come to the kingdom like a little child in humble trust and faith.

That scripture reminds me of this one...
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:21-25
Which also reminds me of this...
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

James 2:5-6
Indeed His ways are not man's and He uses the weak and despised and those types are closer to the kingdom and like the publican versus the Pharisee also. I'm so thankful, though I am nothing, to be able to come to Him and to know the truth and way to walk in. I'm sure you sisters are too!

I was thinking about what it means to live at peace today too. We know some of the things they had to do in the Old Testament but it's not like that now. There were many wars and things and people having to be put to death for sin against the law. Today like the wheat and the tares in the parable Jesus told...we are all growing together until the harvest. Jesus rebuked His disciples for asking whether fire should come down from heaven and kill people.

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

Luke 9:54-56

We live at peace with all, our enemies included and the world and everyone...as much as is possible. God's the avenger not us. We hope they all come to repentance and we can share truth with them if they want it but otherwise we just keep living our life for the Lord ourselves and shining our lights and being salt.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

John 17:15

He keeps us from evil and can make us stand strong through it all...to the end.

I got a skirt sewn and up on my store...

It was refreshing how simple it was to sew after doing all the shirts and after saying goodbye to tiered skirts:-)

I heard from a woman on my tiered skirt post and she thought they hide the form more than other skirts for her. That's her choice and I never said they weren't biblical. I just choose not to spend the time sewing them and prefer simpler clothing myself as that's my conviction. And I don't see how gathered or aline skirts like this one don't do the job just as well in a plainer and simpler way. If your shirts are long and loose enough and the skirt is full enough I believe they cover just fine.

Then after writing this part of my blog I figured I had enough time to sew another skirt so I did. The simplest one possible and it literally took me 50 minutes. This is a gathered skirt which is just two rectangles of fabric.

I am sharing those pictures because you don't have to have tiered skirts to be well covered. That last one is really gathered and it doesn't even need to be that much but anyway we all do what works for each of us and don't overly focus on it or add man made rules or anything like that. Simple is good!

So I'm thankful to have had a fruitful few days adding five items to my store...

And then it will probably be my travelling to the children time again soon and different works for a season. Times and seasons isn't there sisters. And even if those seasons are very long with much the same in them sometimes...keep pressing on in good works! I know we want to just go to be with the Lord sometimes and don't want to bother with much of this life but I remember the Lord has us here for a reason and we can appreciate all the good things in our lives. We humbly submit to Him under His mighty hand.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:6

Note: the onions in the freezer are doing a great job to smell up everything. 🙂

Even the fridge below it and a dessert in the fridge tasted like onion lol. Thankfully we use a lot of onions so they shouldn't last more than several months:-) Just warning you in case you need to freeze onions. Maybe you have a spare freezer off by itself somewhere you can use instead:-)

I was treating the cabbages for aphids...

There's a lot on there and they definitely greatly hinder the growth of the plant. Hopefully that will fix them.

I know I shared similar before but I love the water drops just rolling off the leaves and the sounds...

Peaceful.

Saw the beautiful moon rising when I was 'going home' for the day (that just means I was walking from the main house to my little refuge:-).

Amazing creations just still doing what He made them to do from the beginning! That's a very long time of doing the same things over and over! A sister was just sharing how she was encouraged by the sun coming up over and over and how we too have to be that consistent and faithful in our faith walk and duties.

Let us be diligent...
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2 Peter 1:10

Strive on sisters...for the One who is worthy! Strive to walk worthy, though we don't deserve anything...He does!

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Titus 2:14

Today's Edification (24 May 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I'm back again and I hope you're striving on and all is well with you. I care about you all and hope you are pressing on in the Lord no matter what! I'm always ready to hear from my sisters who do the will of God and are striving to be chaste and godly women. I welcome you with open arms and with warm greetings:-) My sisters prices are far above rubies:-) Keep following after Him sisters.

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Psalm 63:7-8

Just peaceful creations doing what He created them all to.

Super cute watching the chicks scratching around for food and then run back to mum...

Amazing all the instincts God put into all His creatures and they all do the same things just like their parents do!

Let us follow after our Father in heaven. We have been commanded to be holy as He is holy.

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Ephesians 5:1

I've had an extra busy day so just a simple post today:-) But I'm not going to stress at all about such things as simple encouragement is good too and we all have various good works to spread our time and efforts over! Just popping on to send my love to you and say I'm thinking of you and cheer you on to keep looking to the Lord and not get too distracted by the cares of this life. We know we're going to have various trials in this life even if that's physical things not working or a lot to do but through it all let's remember what matters most and cast our burdens and cares upon the Lord! He is good to let us do that! He cares. He is a good Father.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Strive on sisters...as good soldiers of the Lord! And endure hardness or be prepared to for His name's sake! Keep being patient sisters! In due season we shall reap if we faint not! Faint not my sisters! Wait on the Lord and His timing too. He knows best. Take one day at a time. Hold fast!

🌻Love to you all in His name,🌻

Today's Edification (23 May 2024)

Greetings sisters!

Another day is here to strive on after the Lord on the narrow road! Rejoice to know the way sisters! It is truly a great blessing to have the knowledge of the truth. Let's keep treasuring and guarding it.

This was the moon later on last night...

It looked like it had a big ring around it from the ice crystals in the type of clouds that were there. Pretty and peaceful. (maybe you can't see it very well though.)

Thankful to have finally got the three shirts I've been working on finished. Satisfying.

I really appreciate these type of shirts myself and wear them all the time. Good blessings. I think once you have something that works there's no need to look for anything else. Doesn't matter if you wear the same clothes always. It's a blessing to be set free from having to look for and keep buying or trying all these different clothes.

Done with sewing shirts for awhile now, onto skirts. Was buying some more fabric for that and being thankful for good fabric sales and a coupon...

That's what I call a good deal! Thankful for that because most of the skirt fabrics need a lining added so that can double the cost of the skirt. Anyway so it all helps!

I had a cleaning job today and then one tomorrow Lord willing. So, more extra blessings to be thankful for. It's a blessing to have a variety of good works to occupy in and earn our right to eat.

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

2 Thessalonians 3:10-13

And of course God understands if we can't work like when we're sick or when we get older and can't do as much:-) We will rejoice to just be His daughters then in those times or if any of you sisters are in that situation already. Hold on to the Lord and the hope to come.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

Let us strive to be good examples no matter how young or old we are.

Pretty colours. Good pure and true in a dark world.

Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Matthew 16:12

Yeah we too have to beware of multitudes of false doctrines around us today. We need to beware of the leaven of the churches today.

I like how Jesus handled them asking Him a question...

Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Matthew 15:2-3

We know they had added many such man made traditions and so worshipped God in vain.

And today the churches are doing it too. I had a woman emailing me and teaching me in depth about all the early Christian writers that were apparently meant to be followed as scripture wasn't meant to be enough. I asked her if she was aware that scripture forbids women teaching theology and I had a brother give an answer for me to send to her instead. But let us cling to that which we know is truth in His written Word. It's like a rock and anchor for us in this age we are living in with mind boggling amounts of deception.

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.
Psalm 119:140-141

I'm blessed to have a sister to encourage and be encouraged by daily...

It's nice to have a blog but hard to know who I'm talking to on it so it's more generic. I treasure any godly sisters who love the Lord and all His truth. We all have to live our own lives scattered around the world guided by the Spirit but it's an extra blessing when you can know of a saint (or more) in this dark world where love has waxed cold and you get to edify and encourage and practice the love of the saints as best you can. That's all we can do...do our best and be faithful with what we have.

Keep striving on any sisters reading or any women who know they're not where they should be and need to make that decision to follow Christ no matter the cost. I have heard from quite a few women like that over the years and I know you're reading. I hope you don't delay to repent to lose all the things that are sin and holding you back from full obedience and that could cost you your soul...for all eternity.

Think of how worthy Christ the precious Lamb of God slain for our sins is. He said this...

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 10:34-39

Do you want to be 'not worthy of Him'? I don't, because He is so precious. Think of all the nice relationships you may have going on which are holding you back. You have to be willing to lose them for His sake and for your own soul (and even of others). I have had to do this with my own family. You lose closeness and do not obey humans but God first. As women we may have to abide where the Lord has called us so you will have to accept the feelings of always being uncomfortable around them remembering we are strangers and pilgrims and not our own. We are commanded to live at peace if possible and honour all humans and love them all but this doesn't mean we compromise on our faith and obedience to Christ who is our first love. Ponder what you need to do to put Christ first everyone. And the Lord will give you the grace to endure whatever it takes to stand strong knowing whom you have believed!

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2 Timothy 1:12

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15

Grace, mercy, and peace to you.

Today's Edification (22 May 2024)

Greetings sisters who obey our Lord!

Another day for us to do that in the many ways that are in front of us.

God gave me a new day! I hope He did for each of my sisters too. Or that's OK if He took you home too! To die is gain! To live is Christ.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1 John 1:1-2

That is our Saviour!

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

2 Peter 1:16-18

They saw Him and walked with Him and lived life together. Today by faith we believe Him and all He taught.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:29

We are blessed.

Here's some more ways we are blessed if these things describe us which they do if we are truly in Christ.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Matthew 5:3-11

We know the Word speaks about people's actions that come from the heart and people tend to focus on the bad things. On the other hand, if a person has a lot of good fruit in their lives this too is coming from their heart. We know the heart of man is wicked...yet God gives us new hearts and while we still battle sin and the flesh there is much good coming from the new heart. Sisters have pure hearts...made clean by the blood of Christ and renewed by the Spirit! Isn't that awesome?!

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1 Timothy 1:5
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22

I love thinking about pure hearts! They are such rare things in this dark world and are precious.

And yes we know all saints can fail. We see that in the Word including Peter in Galatians. But we just do not continue in sin but repent of it and strive to do better right sisters? So let's not be discouraged but let it keep us humble knowing we are still in these corrupt earthly bodies. It helps us to trust in Him and lean on Him for our strength, our help, and our hope.

I was thinking of this scripture and love it...

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:29

That is our precious Saviour! Let us take His yoke and learn of Him. Rest for our souls...what a gift! Rest in Him sisters where no one can trouble you...including satan though he can and will try to.

Sometimes we may find ourselves taking man's words and what he thinks of us too highly. Let's not care about that so much sisters. Let us learn to only care about what the Lord thinks of us. Even the most godly saint can be so very wrong. And then there's many people in the corrupt churches that tell people they're fine even living in wilful sin so you see we never want to stand before the Lord with man's words about us as meaning anything. We need to be fully responsible for ourselves. Let us all be humble and lowly and meek one towards another. There's something beautiful and refreshing when people are like that one to another. There's no pride or lording over or 'church hierachy'...just people loving each other in the Lord in humility knowing they're all in the same boat of needing a Saviour and having the same struggles of the flesh...which they help each other with if they can.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:5-7

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:12-15

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:2-3

God's precious good ways to live by. And as we know they're very hard to come by in these last days of so few who really want to obey them and live by them. And obviously living by all of God's words and not just some. But let us each just be responsible for ourselves. And if we have the opportunity, provoke other sisters to love and good works which in a way I'm trying to do here:-) Hard really cuz we're all scattered but just do our best and this is the best what the Lord gave us! God allowed man to put together technology...so let's use it for His glory and to bless others with!

I had to do a lot of this today...

Going through them and separating the good parts from the sprouts and rot. The good thing about onions is the layers they have and if the outter layer is a little past it the rest may still be fine! Either way good blessings going into the freezer.

And yeah using onion sprouts on pizza:-)

I'd share...

Just some Proverbs 31 works I guess and I'm sure you're having your own to occupy in! Good job sisters. Keep being about your godly woman's business whatever that is for you. And know the Lord sees!

Sometimes all earthly work can seem mundane and so temporary and even vain. But I remind myself that God made this world and us creatures who need to eat and clothe ourselves and work as God created and commands us to do...so it's not in vain! We can bring God glory by obeying Him and not rebelling against Him like most everyone is. Labours in the Lord are not in vain!

I was just sewing and being super thankful to have good works to do.

I think sometimes we might spend too much time thinking about all the good works we can't do or we'd like to or something (or maybe that's just me:-) or are my sisters going to admit to that too:-). So let's do what we can do, very well sisters! And I'm encouraged in that to keep going in my sewing store (since it is something I have full control over, well under the Lord's will) and add more things as soon as I can between all my other works. I know there's not a lot of demand for biblical clothing and I totally understand it can be costly to buy hand sewn clothes plus the postage versus buying mass produced or second hand items. But it can take a lot of time looking for anything in stores that passes as biblical and some may not have that time so are willing to spend more to get something to simply clothe the temple. Just various decisions and choices everyone has to make. Food and clothing are pretty important! We're to be content if we have them. And it doesn't say a lot of food and clothing...just what we need.

Flowers for my sisters:-)

And pretty moon creation...

His lesser and greater light creations come up and go down each day just like they have from the beginning. Eternity is coming.

Let us remember the seriousness of this life.

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Matthew 13:49-51

I like how Jesus asked them if they understood. We know He loved His disciples. And He loved people to warn about the judgement on those who do not believe and who practice sin. Let us love Him so much by obeying Him with all that we are.

It's serious if you don't love/obey Him...

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
1 Corinthians 16:22

Let us love Him sisters, more and more, as we grow in the knowledge of Him and all He has done! Glory to His holy name for ever!

I think that's all from me for today. Just sharing random thoughts and encouragement for you:-) Just human words which it's your responsibility to test to the Word as I have also done first but of course I'm not infallible.

Hold fast to Christ sisters! I'm really pondering how when anyone is straying from the truth they are leaving Christ and need to get back to focusing on Him and His truth which is all through the New Testament. I see how Paul focused on Christ as the gospel and how we should also. Not the churchianity 'christ' but the real Saviour of the Bible. We don't need more of man's sermons or books or teachings on Him. We need the pure Word that teaches us all we need that pertains to life and godliness.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:2-4

Hold fast my sisters!

Love in Christ,

Today's Edification (21 May 2024)

Hello to my sisters who love the Lord!

I hope all is well in your lives and you're following hard after Him!

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
1 Corinthians 12:3

Pondering the depths of what it means for Jesus to be 'Lord' of someone's life, mine included. Simply put it means we obey Him in everything right sisters. He's our master.

We know we aren't to use empty words. To call Him 'Lord' and not obey Him would be that. But we know many will be sent away even if they called Him their Lord.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:21-23

They did many great things in His name also...but they failed to do His will. It's all very sobering to know many will be sent away, who had hoped to enter, on that day. I don't want that for anyone, myself included. Press on sisters, seeking out His will in His Word and obeying it best you can and I will do that here too.

We know Jesus is the good news to the world and we can sum up our response to that news as obeying Him. He told us to believe in Him, to repent, and that we must be born from above. He told us to endure to the end to be saved, to be baptized, and many other things by which we live. No matter how you 'package' the gospel to present it to others, it all comes back to Him and following and obeying His every Word. We're blessed to have His written Word but also will be held more accountable to it. We need to make sure though that we aren't following another 'jesus'.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4

Let us hold fast to His written Word and not the words or works or deceptions of man and satan.

I know we are to make judgements in the body but I was pondering for those who judge harshly...they will be judged harshly themselves and so it's so very important to get it right lest we get it wrong and suffer severely for it. Let's all be humble and meek in all our dealings with others knowing we're nothing but all fallen fallible creatures. We need much pondering of our own lives and actions before we judge others. It also reminds me how I need to be careful in what I write here too. It might just be easier to say or write nothing then you can't get it wrong...but we just have to walk by faith doing our very best and God knows our hearts and isn't out to get us. Obviously we're judging and testing and correcting everything we say but surely compared to God, errors may slip through. Why there's a huge difference between man's words and God's and how we need to be reading His Word so much.

Getting a big bag of chopped onions into the freezer...

Satisfying feeling of saving things from potential waste:-) I thought the inside of that onion looked pretty too. I put them inside two layers of snap lock bags so hopefully they don't smell up the freezer too badly.

I'd serve you some pumpkin pancakes...

Just lots of pumpkin things being tried...but always plain and simple pumpkin soup uses the most!

I had various animal works to do.

And got some sewing done also. How's your good works going sisters? Hopefully your days are fruitful in good works!

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luke 8:15

I like how that says bring forth fruit with patience. We know we have to keep bearing fruit until the end. It's not a one and done thing or a once a year thing like some fruit trees and plants etc. No, our 'trees' must have continual good fruit!

Here's how...

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-8

Let's abound in all those so we're not barren or unfruitful!

I came across this account and was pondering it...

But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Luke 10:29-37

Sometimes you can read things and not actually let them sink in or take out how to apply them to our own daily lives. Reminds me how Jesus' teachings are always consistent and how He said similar things here...

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 25:37-40

Let us 'see' any such needs around us or spiritually as well and obviously we're not held accountable if we don't often face such situations but we want to be ready.

Keep pressing on one day at a time sisters! The days do add up pretty quickly don't they. So we know this life is short and we don't know how long each one of us will live anyway. Let us keep preparing to meet our God, coming to Him through Christ who we're striving to obey.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Ephesians 2:18
