Today's Encouragement (20 October 2023)


Greetings sisters!

I hope you are pressing on to the mark with an undivided heart! 


Our lives as saints are not to be inward focused just looking out for ourselves and pleasing ourselves and fulfilling our fleshly lusts...no! We know God gave us His beloved Son. We too ought to be givers and not just looking out for our own interests. 


And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 10:7-8


I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 20:35


Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Philippians 2:3-4


We see that this faith life is not a passive thing...but requires great action on our part amen sisters. No of course we couldn't work our way to heaven without Christ's perfect blood sacrifice for our sins but without holy works...we are not part of Him at all. Let us not deceive ourselves. 

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Sharing our daily 'bread'... 


We will often run across people who will accuse us of being narrow or close-minded. Last I knew, there is only one Lord, one truth, one Word, one faith, one baptism, one way, one Spirit. So yes let's own that accusation and rejoice to know the one true way and walk in it with great confidence! How blessed we are to be able to know the one true and living God who made us and owns us and tells us His truth to walk in! Outside of Him, all is lost and there is only eternal judgement coming. 

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

What a great blessing it is to have rock solid truth in a crazy world with billions of different beliefs and opinions and lies!

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 

John 8:32


Hold fast sisters and keep thriving in the truth and being faithful with it. It's a great treasure like the pearl of great price the man sold all for in Jesus' parable. Strive on sisters!

Today's Encouragement (19 October 2023)


Greetings sisters! 

Here is yet one more day to seek first God's kingdom and righteousness. I hope you are all striving on, seeking Him! 


But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Deuteronomy 4:29


But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6


May our whole lives be dedicated to God and living to seek and please Him. We cannot hold on to any part for ourselves. It's either all or nothing. We know what Jesus said about the rich young ruler who had one thing he couldn't surrender. We can ask the Lord to help us see what we perhaps can't even see in our lives. 

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24

Praise God! We are blessed to be able to see good things in a dark world. 

Things like this are a common sight this time of year on our walks here...

Of course the little 3 year old wants to know what things are in life. We tell him it's just garbage in people's yards (as he doesn't understand of course and is so innocent, and such things are not suitable for children). So foolish people are to be dabbling with death and spiritual darkness. But I tell myself it's no surprise really as these people are children of the devil. 

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:44

And so we can also see the truth of the churches out there who participate in such pagan practices. We know the churches/denominations are not of God and so it's becoming more and more obvious how rotten to the core they really are. But God's true ekklesia (often poorly translated as church in the bibles) still remains true to God and His truth and light...rejecting all evil and the appearance of it. 


And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:11


Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22


Such a beautiful day yet again...but we rejoice and be thankful in each one no matter the weather! 


And yes you are seeing a lot of pretty autumn leaves lately...but maybe that will change to snow soon:-) It's all His creations to marvel at and give Him glory in and I don't get tired of it! 




And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 

Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Revelation 15:3-4


Hold fast to the truth sisters! And let us have no other gods before Him...of any sort.

Today's Encouragement (18 October 2023)


Hello sister saints! 


God granted us this day...so let us live for Him! His mercies are new and we are not consumed as we deserve for sin. So let us humbly serve Him in meekness. 

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Psalm 149:4


Here are some scriptures on God's lovingkindness which are awesome to ponder! And I share some more creation pictures from my day too. 


Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Psalm 25:6

 


Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

Psalm 17:7



O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Psalm 36:10

 


Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

It's a blessing gathering around the Word with the saints each night. 

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:10

It's also great to be walking in unity as the Lord commands us to be. 

For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such. The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 

1 Corinthians 16:18-19 

Amen...the saints are refreshing indeed and it's a blessing to be able to be a 'church (ekklesia) in their house'. So few are the true believers in these last days...so thanks be to God for letting us have some fellowship in these dark days. And then we go out into the world shining our lights from Him! 

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16


Hold fast sisters and keep pressing on no matter what! Our Saviour is worthy!

Today's Encouragement (17 October 2023)


Greetings sisters! 

I hope you are thriving in the Lord today! 

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:5-7

I love that scripture! 


Some sisters and I had a great talk last night about some of the good things that can come out of trials (if we let them and press through them). There could be a very long list though of many things that are good for us in trials. And really you can't think of anything 'bad' except there could be damage to our physical body or the greater chance of stumbling in the faith but overall trials are very good for us amen sisters. And many of these would be direct trials because of our faith, along with the physical ones in our earthly tabernacle of our body. 

Here are some of the good things coming out of trials that I could think of... 

*Crucifying the flesh, denying self, taking up our stake daily 

*Purifying us

*Teaching us many lessons

*Helping us look forward to and prepare for the next life 

*Cause of rejoicing (we are commanded to rejoice in them) 

*Reminds us that God's Word is true as He told us there would be many trials 

*Glorifies God

*Reminds us that we are in Christ (we can't have Him without the sufferings) 

*Improves our patience, contentment, thankfulness, and endurance

*Helps us be poor in spirit and humble

*Prepares us to help others


I'm sure you can think of many more and specific examples to them all as well as scriptures. We as saints want to have the mind of Christ and not be living after our fleshly selfish mind when we face trials whatever they may be. 

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

1 Peter 1:6-7


Your flesh may fight against the trials but your spirit knows to submit to the hand of the Father who is good to His children and rejoices in the good coming from them!

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 4:13



In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Psalm 62:7

Today's Encouragement (16 October 2023)


Greetings sisters! 

I'm back again and I hope you are too! We have time to serve the Lord some more while we can! 

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:15-16 

Let us redeem the time as best we can by filling our days with good works unto the Lord! 


Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58



So beautiful creations there...to His glory! 


Looking more and more like winter here too... 


As we know, the cycles in His creation will keep going until the end of this world. We can trust in Him that it will be so. And we ourselves can keep seeking His kingdom and righteousness. 

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 

Give us this day our daily bread. 

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matthew 6:10-13



(Thank you sister for that scripture picture:-) True godly love is indeed a very important part of our life amongst the believers. We know we love God first and then have been called to love all people...even our enemies. God's ways are good aren't they sisters and when people depart from them they get into trouble. Let us have fervent love amongst us sisters. And have forgiving hearts. 

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 

But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Mark 11:25-26

That's a good scripture to ponder for sure...if we don't forgive we will not be forgiven by God. 

Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. 

So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. 

Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

2 Corinthians 2:6-8

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Today's Encouragement (15 October 2023)


Greetings sisters! 


I hope you are overcoming through Christ today! One day leads to another and we know this life is just a vapour. One day soon will be our last...and then eternity. We want to keep a mindset and life that is preparing for that life instead of this temporary one. 

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

We are walking by faith, living our whole life for that which is unseen. 

Do we go to the Word for comfort and strength in trials? I hope we all do as it resets our mind from thinking in the flesh to thinking spiritually doesn't it sisters. 

The scriptures are far from silent about tribulations we must endure in this faith life. So let us be real and not expect an easy life and learn to thrive through trials for His glory! 

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 14:22

 


We went out on the street for a bit to share the hope of Christ crucified to the lost world... 


It's such a hopeless world without Him, seeing the sin and darkness out there. We want everyone to come though, but we know few do. But we were there today offering hope! Many gospel cards went out and some good conversations had. So praise God for being able to do what we can while we can. We know night is coming when no one can work...but for now let us sisters do what we can in all good works! It's different looking the world in the eyes up close and seeing all the various reactions to the gospel...some hurry past, some smile, some mock, and some come right up for a gospel card or to talk. His Word never goes out in vain! 

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11


We know all can come... 






Amen to those scriptures a sister shared! Let us live by and obey every Word of God. 


Keep holding fast to the truth sisters! 

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:6-7

Today's Encouragement (14 October 2023)


Greetings sisters! 

Another day is here! I'm back too and wanting to share whatever edifying I can. I hope you are striving on after the Lord no matter what. 


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

Psalm 46:1-3

I love thinking about holiness. 




I love thinking about His peace too. He is our comfort and hope amen sisters?! We have a good Father! 






His Word is very good and we are so blessed to have it. It is so strengthening! Let us live by every word of it. 


It's good to think how much of a sacrifice we are to be for the Lord. We are also His servants. And we have been bought with a great price. So let us take up our stake daily, dying to ourselves and desires.

 

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

Luke 9:23-25

Today's Encouragement (13 October 2023)


Salutations to my sister saints!

I hope this next post finds you striving on again one more day! We know we must endure unto the end to be saved! 

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Ezekiel 3:20-21


We constantly see how our faith life MUST be active or we will not make it. It's a constant battle to keep walking in the Spirit and not the flesh. We know sin leads to death but we have a great God of hope who can deliver us from our sins and lead us in the way of holiness as we submit our will to Him. He doesn't force us...we sisters want to be in Him and obeying Him.

Today's Encouragement (12 October 2023)


Hello sister saints! 

I hope you are holding fast to Christ who is our life and hope! 


When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:4


To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Colossians 1:27

I'm thankful, as I know I have so many blessings and we all do! 

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
