Daughters for His Glory

Today's Encouragement (19 September 2023)

Greetings sisters!

The Lord gave us a new day to serve Him! I hope all my sisters are striving to overcome and grow!

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:15

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Isaiah 55:1-3

I was thinking how no amount of money the world has can buy the gift of eternal life etc! What a huge and precious gift we have been given...let us lose our life to receive such an awesome gift. And be careful not to lose the promise.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Mark 8:36

Just some Titus 2 blessings that we'd share:-)

I was also thinking of how today we don't clean the literal leaven out of our houses as they had to do back then but we purge sin out of our lives.

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 5:7

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2 Corinthians 13:5

Let us take heed to obey His voice, and walk in Spirit and truth.

Today's Encouragement (18 September 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Praise the Lord for His great mercy. That is not something to be taken lightly at all. It should humble us all...greatly and put us in our place.

I hope all my sisters are overcoming all things in the Lord.

I'm sharing some scriptures on peace...

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Psalm 29:11

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Ephesians 2:14

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
2 John 1:3

More sewing done today...

If you're dealing with troublesome knit fabric hems you can put either tissue or wax paper on one or either side of the hem before sewing. Can be a bit of a job pulling it all off after but...that's better than dealing with huge issues I think:-)

Today's Encouragement (17 September 2023)

Hello sisters!

Here is a new day to go forth and serve Him! We know not what a day may bring forth but we do know the Lord will be there and His truth still stands rock solid.

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Proverbs 27:1

We sisters want to live in today, thankful and content with what the Lord has given us. We know not if tomorrow will be given to us so let us be on guard today and ready for our Lord.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Hebrews 3:13-15

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 4:1

Let us be vigilant sisters and not take this faith life lightly at all but take action! True faith always leads to action/works.

Got some fabric shopping done today...

More work to go on with it coming up. I appreciate having good things to occupy in. We do not want to be idle do we sisters.

Making me think of sister Dorcas...

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

God's witness in creation is everywhere! What a precious treasure it is to know the truth!

Today's Encouragement (16 September 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're striving on this day.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Luke 10:20-21

I love that God's ways are not man's. He uses those who are not high and mighty.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1 Corinthians 1:26-27

Let us joyfully serve the Lord sisters! I'm thankful to be a godly woman serving Him in all sorts of good works. I'm sure my sisters are too!

Today's Encouragement (15 September 2023)

Greetings sisters!

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33

We can't be reminded of that scripture enough can we! Let's exhort one another as best we can long distance or if we are face to face with other saints. What a blessing to have either of those in this world where there are so few true believers. I hope all my sisters are striving on and overcoming day by day!

Let us be like Mary...

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Luke 10:38-42

We don't want to be stressed out about getting everything just right in our serving whether that is in food or cleaning up the house and such and we neglect to seek out the Word and hear His words.

Glad to have good works to occupy in. I know my sisters are too.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Today's Encouragement (14 September 2023)

Salutations to my sisters in the Lord!

He blessed us with yet one more day to choose to serve Him!

I was thinking about eternal/everlasting life so I share a few verses...

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 12:2

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 25:46

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
John 12:25

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:8

Let us strive to enter and be found worthy through Christ and our belief and obedience to Him.

Our Lord is drawing nearer every day. Let us prepare to meet our God.

We would share our daily bread...

The Lord provides what we need and we have many blessings above that! Very thankful we ought to be.

Another beautiful day He gave us here...

But every day is a great one to live for Him no matter what's going on!

Our treasures are not on this earth...

And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Luke 12:18-21

Let us live for the next life and not for this short one here. We don't want to gain the world or any part of it or lose our souls.

Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
Psalm 104:1-2

Hold fast sisters and we will see if we get tomorrow...to serve and glorify Him.

Today's Encouragement (13 September 2023)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

My day is almost over so I'm coming back here to edify my sisters! I hope your days as godly women are going along well, pressing onwards.

Beautiful creations God made...

Glory to God for all good things!

Next chapter in Revelation...

And yes some areas of scripture are perhaps harder to read but we are to live by every Word of God and would be foolish if we just picked the ones that were easier in our flesh. God is just and sin is serious. He will deal with all those who refuse to repent.

I was thinking about how the truth is worth fighting for!

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:3

So many do not take it very seriously at all. But we sisters want to.

Got a shirt sewed for my sister...

And opened up my sewing store again too. It is a blessing to be able to do various godly woman works!

I was reminded of this scripture...

When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
John 6:12

With all the waste going on in the world. We want to be good stewards of not only our resources like money and food etc but also of time and many other things actually. We want to be faithful in little...in all things.

He is an almighty God.

Today's Encouragement (12 September 2023)

Greetings sisters!

We have a new day to serve the Lord! Every day is a good day in the Lord if we are close to Him and walking in all His ways!

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
James 4:8

Was thinking of this scripture...

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
Ecclesiastes 10:1

And thinking how we don't want to have any foolishness in us as we walk as followers of the Lord in wisdom. That can also stumble others although we know we shouldn't trust in humans. Others are watching us and our witness and what we do.

And I was also thinking how we don't want to bring reproach on His name or blaspheme it in our actions...

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:5

This life following after Christ is a serious one so let us be vigilant to bring Him glory He deserves, although we could never give Him enough amen sisters?!

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Revelation 5:12

More sewing today...

Thankful to be godly women working with our hands and minding our own business.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1 Thessalonians 4:11

I'm thankful for sisters who have their priorities right and don't care about imperfections! That's so refreshing in a world that doesn't redeem the time and where the Lord and His work aren't the focus. The point of things is to be functional and fit for purpose...not for perfect looks always:-)

Beautiful creations around the place here. The witness of His creation is everywhere on this earth obviously no matter where you are! And we ourselves are made by Him of course!

Hold fast to the truth sisters! Praise God to know the way to the Father through the Son who is the truth! There's only one narrow way to find eternal life.
