Today's Encouragement (19 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are strong in the faith on this day. And if not I hope you strive and hold on and seek to be uplifted in His Word and I hope this encourages you too.

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
Psalm 61:1-4

May He be our refuge and strength!

Sharing an awesome scripture showing brother Paul's care for the saints even though he hadn't seen them face to face.

For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Colossians 2:1-5

We too can have great care for one another knowing we are part of Christ's family that He purchased with His blood.

Yet again...another powerful chapter and one we likely know well about the armour of God that we are to put on! God doesn't automatically put this armour on us does He. We have to act to be ready to do spiritual battle. He gives us all the armour to put on though!

Here's some lemon treat blessings I'd share with all the saints if I could...

Got given a bag full of lemons...what a refreshing blessing. 🍋😋 God blesses us with much more than just the bare necessities but if it all was taken away we still want to be thankful!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

I hope you keep enduring sisters! It's really good to keep in mind that there's going to be many trials and sufferings and tribulation and whatever you want to call it in this life. That would be a good study for each of us to do to strengthen us I'm sure! But Jesus told us to be of good cheer as He has overcome the world! We serve a great God of hope so how can we not have joy through it all! Hold fast sisters!

Today's Encouragement (18 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

God had another day for me and you if you're reading this. He made us and owns us and we have been bought with a great price so we are not our own! Let us live to please and serve the one who owns us!

Four sleepy lambs outside my window...

Peaceful.

Delicious lunch blessing...

So thankful for such blessings. God providing daily 'bread'. These are potatoes that are just growing like 'weeds' in the garden which we didn't plant or really look after so God grew them from the ground on His own or however you want to put it.

I was thinking of a scripture I read recently when working in the garden today...

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Luke 3:9

We want to bear much fruit so the Father is glorified and it is proof we are abiding in the Vine! Otherwise we too will be chopped down and thrown into the fire...it's true. We don't want to shy away from the harder facts in His Word that many seem to avoid. We then can get an unbalanced and false view about God and life. We want the whole truth and out great God is so righteous and just. And who are we to question Him anyway. We dare not.

Pulled weed mountain...

Sometimes you don't know where to start and if you look at the whole weed patch it seems overwhelming and like you could never get it done but you just pull one weed at a time and you get there! And so it is in life one thing at a time; one day, one minute, one trial, one new experience and so on.

I thought this bare leaf with just the veins left looked pretty and really delicate...

So many things to see in His creation and that we can also learn from as the Word says even nature teaches us things. One being...

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Proverbs 6:6

Another packed full great one with many good things for us to heed. Thankful for His Word.

Well I hope my sisters strive on and don't grow weary in well doing! Let's keep living for Him and knowing that He is the only one we have to please. Yet if we obey His ways others will be blessed and others will hate us but so be it as He alone is worthy!

Today's Encouragement (17 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Back again to share some encouragement with you! And that encouragement is of course centered around the Lord and His truth as we sure don't live for this world or the things in it.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15-17

We know we cannot serve two masters. We want God to be our Master don't we sisters and just get through this world, which is satan's kingdom and crafted to distract and deceive people, the best we can and with our armour on.

We cannot just add Jesus to our life and think we will make it to God's kingdom. We have to lose our lives for Him don't we and even one sin we hold onto and refuse to surrender (which is rebellion) will cost us our souls. We must constantly examine our lives and whether we are even in the faith and work out our salvation with fear and trembling and know the righteous will scarcely be saved. It's a high mark we are to aim for and it's definitely possible because of what Christ has done in setting us free from sin! And He gave the Word and Spirit too. And we do know it doesn't all happen automatically but we must abide in Him and repent and many such things, centered around our faith in Him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 14:23-24

That last verse is an easy test to put people through...if they don't obey or want to they don't love God. And that is not a good thing at all for their souls. And this verse helps us if we feel bad in our flesh for having to reject people...

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
1 Corinthians 16:22

It's a wicked thing to not love/obey Jesus. We hope they repent. Let us sisters press on with striving to love Him with all that we are!

Another awesome chapter for us. Praise God for His Word!

It was a rainy day some of the time today...

Which really is a great blessing here as the dry summer is on the way. And water brings life doesn't it. And nature even teaches us things so we also know we need Jesus who gives us living water!

I love looking at water droplets and even better if they're on pretty flower creations!

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Deuteronomy 32:1-3

Glory to God!

Simple blessing of finding potatoes, like hidden treasures...

Which was yesterday while the sun was setting...

Peaceful and beautiful. In Christ we can also have a better peace and rest in Him no matter the turmoil around us.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

Today's Encouragement (16 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Another good day to serve the Lord who is worthy to be praised! I hope you're pressing on in Him through all things no matter what!

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psalm 2:11

Thank you sister for these...

Yes we want to glorify Him don't we. It's not just about getting to heaven this life! He is worthy to be served, glorified, praised, and loved and so much more!

Amen!

Blessing to read His awesome Word!

I like thinking about this scripture and how we too are about His business and not that of this world.

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Luke 2:49

And all we do should be because of Him now even if it's dealing with the things of this world. We are not off pursuing vain things of the flesh. Let us be about our Father's business of seeking first His kingdom and righteousness!

Hold fast sisters! And I hope your works as godly women go well and that you're content and thankful to be who the Lord created you to be!

Today's Encouragement (15 August 2023)

Greetings sister saints!

I'm back again and I've been having a busy day. I hope all my sisters are striving on and I hope anyone who isn't sure where they are or are seeking...I hope you don't delay to repent as you only have today and may not get another chance. All of us will either receive a huge loss or a huge gain. One we all deserve which is destruction but we sisters will receive something we could never deserve if we endure which is eternal life!

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
Psalm 119:59-60

Here's the next scripture reading to edify...

I was rejoicing to read that and to be reminded again about all we have in Christ and what He has done for us, and who we are to be as His own workmanship! We are created for good works aren't we and in this we glorify Him!

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Titus 2:13-14

I was thinking about 'holding peace' and how that can be a very powerful and meek thing to do (as it may not be what the flesh wants to do at times) and also that there is a time to speak and a time to be silent like what Ecclesiastes talks about. We don't want to speak in our flesh and in haste do we sisters, and then we also shouldn't be silent when we should speak, and also we don't want to 'cast our pearls before swine' in other cases too so we have to use discernment in it all.

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Mark 14:61

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
Acts 15:13

Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
Proverbs 29:20

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:10

Just some things to ponder on as there are many in His awesome Word!

Today's Encouragement (14 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Here's another day the Lord gave us! I hope each of you are striving on in Him with all that you are. Precious are His ways and His saints.

Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:33-37

Good words from our Saviour. We do well to heed them don't we sisters. He is the way...the truth...and the life!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

What a blessing to know all that. We are so richly blessed. I know my sisters treasure this life we have like the pearl of great price to give up all for. So let's keep bearing lots of good fruits sisters and we know He helps us bear more.

Another great chapter of the goodness of God and all He has done for us through Christ. Praise God!

Sometimes it hits me deeper how blessed I am to be who I am in the Lord and to know this precious truth and the right way and have so much hope and not be lost. And that is no small thing especially if you know that most people are on the broad road to destruction. And we know we must remain in Him or we could lose it all too but let's keep walking in the Spirit and crucifying the flesh.

Another day for me with Titus 2 works...

And hours of travel...

...but on such a beautiful day! Glory to God!

Today's Encouragement (13 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are pressing on for the Lord today and in the power of His might! In our weaknesses He is strong and He strengthens us through His Word and can use His saints to encourage and edify each other and comfort.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5

What a great and awesome God we serve! Let us honour and obey Him in godly fear.

Wow I love that. Praise God! Reminds me of the perfect garden in the beginning and the perfect new heaven and earth to come! God is good to let us still have beauty and peace here when we don't deserve anything good after we sinned against Him.

Little one year old watching the sheep and lambs...

There is still much good and many precious things in this world in amidst the horrendous wickedness and works of satan. The Lord will triumph over it all and set it all straight one day. Let us strive to be found worthy to stand before Him.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 21:36

Well I think that's all I have to share but I hope you keep standing really strong sisters! Nothing is worth losing our soul over is it so let's press on with our faces like flint toward the Lord and what is ahead willing to lose all things on this earth to gain the next and glorify our glorious God! Strive on sisters!

Today's Encouragement (12 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

How's your day in the Lord? My day was a busy one in Titus 2 works. And praise God for any fellowship we can have with sisters we know. We know how few there are who truly love God no matter what so it is a joy and refreshment when we do know a few.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

I love to think about my sisters who love the Lord. And be thankful to God for you.

Sheep with their lambs...

Quite a noise too with all the mothers and lambs calling for each other. It's funny to watch all the lambs playing together and running around exploring the world but then they lose their mothers and have to find each other again in the flock, hence the noise. But they do find each other so it's amazing God's creation in that aspect too and all the instincts He put in them and all His creatures.

Lots of great truths for us in there. Praise God for being able to know His truth and good ways. I'm thankful to know what the works of the flesh are and the fruits of the Spirit. Although we are not under the law or saved by works we see and know that to walk after the flesh is death but to walk in the Spirit is life!

Edifying...that's something we should all be involved in doing.

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
1 Corinthians 14:12

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:16

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11

We want to be focused on good things and not talking about or being involved in vain useless things that do not edify. Reminds me about the incorruptible versus corruptible and how we want to be about incorruptible things don't we too.

The longer we walk in the Lord the more we see how different we are from the world and what they value. They are of this world and mostly about this world and not eternal things even though many claim to believe. But their fruit shows otherwise but let us be set on seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. We really are just strangers and pilgrims here, peculiar people, whose citizenship is in heaven. Hopefully that shows in what we value and how we trust this world and all we have to Him as we know it's all His.

And we sisters may have somewhat more quiet lives being helpers and servants and involved in physical Titus 2 things but that too is pleasing to the Lord we know and it's also important how and why we do things. We want to have willing hearts not pleasing ourselves and also have thankful hearts, meek, and submitted to our role God gave us

Well I think that's all from me sisters but I hope you keep pressing on strong in the Lord! Hold fast! Lord willing I will be back sharing here tomorrow and I hope you are back also as that means you're striving on again. And I want to encourage you in that even in a tiny way.

Today's Encouragement (11 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are striving on wherever you are on this earth! The Lord has called us to stand and shine our lights where we are. We worship in spirit and truth and we don't have to 'go' anywhere to serve Him like they used to go to Jerusalem and the temple to worship.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:21-24

I'm thankful for that and we love the truth don't we sisters! And if we love the truth we hate error and lies.

Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 97:10

I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
Psalm 119:113

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.
Psalm 119:127-128

I know that describes my godly sisters. (and thank you sister for the pretty creation picture I shared at the top.)

Many deep truths in His Word and it all fits together amazingly. It is so congruent from Genesis to Revelation isn't it.

I hope all your godly woman works are going well sisters.

Mine are going along well and I'm just taking one bit at a time like if you have a huge pile of dishes to wash at the end of the day.

Hold fast to the truth sisters and let us not live in the flesh but mortify it daily so we can live in the Spirit and please God

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:12-14

Today's Encouragement (10 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

God gave us another day to live for Him!

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:15

We know our faith in Him changes everything. And we live by all of His Words not just picking and choosing what we want to. We take the easy and the hard don't we as He is worthy! He made us and owns us and who are we to rebel against Him and do our own ways.

I love that. And that's the opposite of this isn't it...

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
1 Timothy 5:13

We not only have good examples and commands but also bad examples and what we shouldn't be like. I'm thankful for them all and we're blessed to have them. My sisters and I want to be good examples and really we have such a high calling to be His witnesses. That's a job to be taken seriously and yeah I know sometimes we can think how unworthy we are in that we know our weaknesses but He can use the humble and those who know they need Him! We can think of Him using Moses who said he couldn't speak well and also Paul who said in several places about his weaknesses. We know not many mighty and wise in this world are called but God can use the weak things for mighty things.

I love that...God's peace ruling in our hearts. That's a precious gift.

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Galatians 6:14

But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
2 Corinthians 10:17

That's a good subject to ponder...boasting in the Lord. Well we sure know we don't want any glory for ourselves. And yeah people may falsely accuse us of being that way but they accused our Saviour falsely too but God knows our hearts. Let us glory in our great God!

I was thinking about this scripture...

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Genesis 50:20

In what happened to Joseph. We may have bad things happening to us but we don't know the end or what God can do with it and why He may allow it. We may see the end or maybe not but we want to trust in Him and that this is true...

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Well I must go sisters but I hope you're all striving on loving the Lord first and others next. Hold fast! The Lord is preparing a place for us...let us endure faithfully!

Today's Encouragement (9 August 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're striving on in the Lord today! I'm back again sharing one more day as the Lord allowed. We know our days are numbered but we want to live the ones we have left for the Lord. We cannot change the past now, when we wasted our days in ignorance or rebellion, but we can choose each day going forward whom we will serve...we will serve the Lord amen sisters?! He is worthy!

I had a 3 hour bus trip today.

Was a beautiful and pretty day for it.

Glory to God for that.

Every day is a great and perfect day to serve the Lord and we don't want to ever complain but we know some days are perhaps 'nicer' in the weather area. But we don't get our joy or peace from weather do we sisters! No we get it from the One who is our joy and peace and hope!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

Evening sunshine on my Titus 2 works...

I'm sure I'll be having a lot of those. And you sisters too. It's a blessing to be godly women submitted to Him!

I found a quiet spot in His creation to read that on a half hour break on my bus trip. Thankful for His Word again.

I had my gospel bag sharing truth on my trip. One older woman walked up and wanted to see it. But sadly she was set in her ways and defending the churches. But she got the gospel.

She said she liked all it said front and back and wanted me to sew some for her except she didn't want the part about not listening to the churches. No, we sisters follow Jesus who is the truth and not these churches today packed full of lies.

Didn't we get warned that deceivers would enter and Paul warned that as soon as he left corrupt men would come in and draw many away. And we are in the perilous last times and with iniquity abounding and love waxing cold. No we are responsible to stand for truth and not follow churches into hell. I'm glad to know my sisters who have been set free from that trap. Praise God!

I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
1 Corinthians 10:15

That reminds me of the men at Berea who tested what Paul was saying to the scriptures. We know we sure ought to test and judge what people say and that is wise to do so.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

Thank you sisters for sharing these...

Yes we want to do good and not evil to our fellow man. Vengeance is the Lord's we know.

Our God lives! And He always has and never had a beginning. That's so hard for our minds to grasp and He'll never end. So sad people worshipping dead false gods which really do not exist. Well we know it's satan really.

And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.
1 Kings 18:39

I love that what the false god worshippers said when they saw what our God did!

We will gladly bear reproach for Him as we know His people are hated or thought foolish in this world. One day all will bow.

Amen we want that too. He alone is worthy!
