Living Sacrifices

Greetings sisters!

Hoping you are walking stedfast in the truth!

I read some scriptures to encourage us sisters in the sacrifice that comes in this life in Christ. I do know that we hear many say we don't do anything but believe and try to live a good life not doing any 'bad sins'. But we know there is much more to it than that and we have counted the cost...as we know this faith in Christ could cost us our lives and everything in between. It involves our whole life and will submitted to Him!

It was another day of sewing for me...

I'm grateful for sisters who simply obey God's Word and dress in a simple plain shamefaced manner. And our focus is taken off what we look like and clothing simply becomes clothing (as it was intended to be by God Himself back in the beginning after man sinned) and not something that we try to adorn ourselves with.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30

And got to do some garden work...

What peaceful work to do and such a blessing that we can grow things from the ground for food. Praise God!

OK sisters well I hope that was edifying and let's keep in mind as we go about our daily lives that we are sacrifices unto God. May we be pleasing and acceptable to Him.

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (20 April 2022)

Greetings in love to my sisters!

Here I am back again as God gave us this day! And we are serving Him in it as we go about what each of us has been called to.

Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

1 Corinthians 7:24

I went fabric shopping yesterday...

And came home with a big stack...

...which over time Lord willing will be made into biblical clothing...skirts mostly. Aren't we thankful for simple things to clothe ourselves? And we should remember to be thankful to live where we can easily obtain fabric at least, and we still can find clothing that is biblical if we look diligently and patiently even if we have to modify some.

Pretty sunset last night while I was in town...

And I'm glad it worked out that I could give out a few gospel cards to those who served me in the stores. We have such precious truth to give don't we!

A lot of fabric washing went on today...

And some sewing...

Aren't we just glad to simply be godly women? I am!

Let's keep being faithful in the life God has called us to at the moment...focusing on today and not worrying about tomorrow or the next day and on and on. We know the hope that is set before us if we endure faithful to the end!

Yes let's not grow weary!

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

2 Thessalonians 3:13-14

And so many commands to separate from those who willfully live contrary to God's commands. Let us humbly and fearfully serve our holy God as we are responsible for His glory in our own lives first.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11

Amen we sisters definitely want God to be glorified in all we do! We are His creatures and it's only what we have been called to do all we do in obeying His commands.

Well you have a joyous day sisters! May the Lord bless you and the labours of your hands!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (19 April 2022)

Greetings this day to my sisters who love the Lord!

I've had a busy day out in town today but I share some scriptures I put in here yesterday.  Hope each of you are strong in the Lord this day!

So I thought I'd just share a few scriptures on rising up as it's an encouraging thought! What a great God of hope we have! Our hope is above and we set our affections there and also we can be joyous and not in despair, overcomers and not defeated, pressing upwards and not growing weary while we are down here.

I like this one as it shows the power of God too...

And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God .

Acts 14:19-22

And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. And he left all, rose up, and followed him.

Luke 5:27-28

May we too in whatever situation it is rise up to follow Christ and not go away and back and serve ourselves by doing things we know are not right.

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Luke 24:46

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Colossians 2:12

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Just some simple scriptures to ponder on! Lord willing I will be back tomorrow! Hold fast to Christ sisters! Keep pressing on even through the trials...whether it's physical or spiritual ones! Let us not grow weary in doing well! We will reap if we don't faint! If my sisters are feeling faint...I cheer you on and encourage you to look to our Saviour! He is worthy!

Love in Him,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (18 April 2022)

Greetings sisters!

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 1:3-5

I love that don't you sisters?! What a precious and mighty Saviour we have! He is our deliverer!

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 1:13-14

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 1:10

What a great thought to ponder sisters!

How thankful we are and want to serve Him and love Him following after Him with a pure heart in unfeigned faith.

I'm coming back here sharing a simple post after a busy day in various works. I'm sure my sisters have all be occupied in many different duties that you all have! Praise God to be able to be godly women and be working in worthwhile activities.

Slow hard work digging roots out of the ground...

I'm thankful for soil to grow vegetables in when the weeds are all dug up.

Share some onion soup and tuna patties...

Another day in the Lord is passing for me. I hope you sisters are all standing strong in Him...zealous for good works! Let's see if we get tomorrow...but let's take what's right in front of us first! Hold fast sisters!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God,

and the communion of the Holy Ghost,

be with you all.

Amen.

2 Corinthians 13:14

Today's Encouragement (17 April 2022)

Greetings sisters!

Hope this post finds you well and strong in the Lord and not being swayed by this life and the cares of it.

Aren't those flowers above (that a sister shared) just so beautiful?! Glory to the Creator!

I have some simple bits and pieces to drop off here. And it's just a glimpse into my simple life lived in the Lord and the work He allows me to do.

Just a video of carrot thinning and you can hear peaceful birds too...

And spot a butterfly 🦋 in the carrots too...

And peaceful ducks drinking...

Just some peaceful creations from my little corner of the world.

I'm blessed with some more sewing to work on...

What basic necessities are clothing and food. In Christ we focus on Him and yes we need some things for this life but our focus is on eternal things and much on this earth fades away into insignificance doesn't it sisters. And we have His work to do here and not just live our comfortable lives for ourselves and the lusts of the flesh.

Got the apples finished drying today...

...using God's warm sunshine and air just in time before some rain came in.

☀🌧️

What a blessing that is too though!

And more tomato blessings...

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1 Timothy 6:6-8

Good foods the Lord provides and I get to cook and serve others with and keep myself going as well.

And share a piece of apple cake sisters...

Making a big bowl of overnight oats for breakfast tomorrow...which is a rare treat!

Delicious made with fresh grated apple...and milk, yoghurt, maple syrup, oats, and chopped dates. Soaked in the fridge overnight.

And I share these pictures I sent to sisters and one added the scriptures. Thank you sister!

We know He is strong! We can trust in Him and cling to Him through all times and especially when we are weak!

Amen that blessed hope! Let us strive hard to obtain it through our Saviour!

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

1 Corinthians 9:24

Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

2 Timothy 2:10

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Luke 20:35

Hold fast sisters!

Trust in God!

Cling to His Word!

Strive on!

Be patient!

Endure!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Searching

Greetings sister saints!

Hope you are all doing well and are strong in the faith! Hoping also that your duties as godly women are going well!

I love that scripture above with it's promise! Reminds me of this too...

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6

Only God can truly satisfy!

I read Psalm 139 for us all today...

There's some thoughts in there about God searching us and we love this one from it...

Yes God can show us areas in our hearts and lives that need to be changed for His glory.

Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psalm 26:2

There is nothing hidden from Him is there.

We cannot deceive God.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Jeremiah 17:9-10

Our fruits will show what is in our hearts. Only God can give us new hearts!

I know I shared this yesterday but it fits in here too and it's a great thought.

And this one about searching for the lost...

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:8-10

OK sisters just some simple encouragement for our day in the Lord! It's edifying to think about God searching us, and us searching our own hearts as we diligently seek after Him and His truth. Strive on sisters! Lord willing I'll be back tomorrow!

Hands

Hello sister saints!

Here I am back again sharing some more encouragement and edification in the things of God and this life in Christ.

Today I share some scriptures on...hands. What great creations that God made and that allow us to do very many things as we work in this life. We can be very thankful that most all of us have two good working hands. It would be a great challenge if we didn't!

And we sisters use our hands for good. We don't use them to do sinful things that our minds tell them to do. Instead we use them to fulfil God's commands. Some of those would be to work and for us women we labour in being keepers at home, some are helpers to husbands or servants, or working to earn money. We can use our hands to give someone precious truth of the gospel of Christ. We can do kind deeds. We can write encouragement to sisters and send love. So very many things...good things...we use our hands for! What wonderful creations they are!

Look at the Proverbs 31 woman and all it mentions how she works with her hands in good things!

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. [19] She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. [20] She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. [31] Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31:13,19-20,31

I love that and I know my sisters are like that too each in your own different things the Lord has for you!

We sisters love this one too and because we can also in a figurative way encourage each other and lift up their hands so to speak.

But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Exodus 17:12

Like it says here...

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

Hebrews 12:12

What a blessing to encourage a weary soul on! And even if we are separated in distance we know we would help a sister physically with their work if we could! And we can use our hands to type them a message and let them know we would help if we could! That's what some of us sisters do say and it brings smiles and it is encouraging just knowing the willing helpful hearts and hands of love one to another.

I share a few more verses on hands...

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Psalm 24:3-4

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Ephesians 4:28

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

1 Thessalonians 4:11

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 Corinthians 5:1

Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

Psalm 18:24

Praise God we can read His precious Word, with our eyes and hands, and I get to share it here!

I picked, peeled, and cut lots of apples for sun drying over the next few warm days. What a great blessing all that is!

What beautiful weather it has been lately here! We have a great Creator!

Cute little new calf was born here...

And that means there will be fresh milk again for us too.

OK sisters I must go now. Glad I got to use my hands to write you some encouragement and send a few pictures with as well! Strive on sisters, serving this great God who Created this all and sent His Son to save us from our sins!

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord. Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

Lamentations 3:40-41

Today's Encouragement (14 April 2022)

Greetings sisters!

Isn't that such a pretty picture that another sister shared! How wonderful is our great God who created not just that pretty flower and the raindrops but everything! This is His creation and He owns it all and is in control!

I read a chapter of scripture to edify us all...

We definitely know there will be many who take up the name of our God and Saviour and claim to follow Him and yet are not His. We know to be on guard don't we sisters.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:21

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 1:16

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Isaiah 29:13

And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Ezekiel 33:31

Nothing new under the sun is there sisters. The heart of man is wicked and is so bent on doing it's own ways. But praise God for new hearts He has given us and we long to do His will! And yes we have to fight that flesh and battle on and overcome...but one day those who did the Father's will will enter into the gates of the heavenly city! Glory to God as He is worthy and we are not though we are called to walk worthy of Him!

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:9-10

There's a whole lot in there to ponder.

I can think of the fact that the world, including those who claim to follow Christ, is rushing around this weekend doing all kinds of things...of which there are no command from God to be doing such things (and therefore not doing His will). But we know we are to be separated from the world and it's pagan ways of which this weekend is definitely attached to even though some try to say it isn't. But to us it's just more great days to serve the Lord minding our own business and being salt amongst it all. One day we will be free from dealing with all such things and be with the Father who is all truth!

New life sprouting from the soil in the garden...

What a great creation and concept to ponder seeds are! And the soil also that they grow from and the moisture they need to grow. And then we know the Word of God is seed also that can be sown into hearts of different types. And the ones sown on good ground produce much fruit!

May we sisters, where the seed was received into our hearts on good ground, bring forth much fruit through the Spirit! We see the great treasure this all is because we know the stony ground, and the weeds choking the seeds, and the enemies snatching the seed away are very many. Let us grow and flourish in the Lord and His truth that we know from His Word and Spirit.

Well sisters that's it from me but I hope you have a great day in the Lord and be strong in Him!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

God Our Light

Greetings in love to my sisters who love the light!

We do don't we! I know some of us sisters talk about that and it's encouraging thinking of light. We know what the opposition is...darkness, sin, hidden things, lies, deception, condemnation, hopelessness and more. All of which is from satan the wicked one!

We know God is light!

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:5-7

And we get to walk in fellowship with Him and His saints in the light and not the darkness!

And what a joy to be shown light through Christ as we once were in darkness with blind eyes and deaf ears.

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 1:78-79

And we know it's a battle between light and darkness, good and evil. What a great scripture this is telling us the truth...

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:19-21

Yes we want to come to the light!

Thank you sister for sharing that one! We sure need that in this dark world! Let us cling to God's Word as we know the opinions and ideas and 'wisdom' of men abounds in these days. And we know the heart of man is desperately wicked. Only God's Word is a rock we can trust in as He is the truth!

One day we will be in a far better place where it is all light!

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Revelation 21:23-24

Let's press on sisters...faithful unto death! And it's a blessing to share amongst the brethren our lives in openness and trust in the light. Even though we may not be able to know what is in the depths of a person's heart although we can see the fruits...God sees and knows all and nothing is hidden from Him! May all of us sisters be producing deeds of the light and not of darkness!

More apple blessing works today...

What blessings are you thankful for in your lives today sisters? If we made a list...well we couldn't begin to of them all but if we feel overwhelmed or something we can just only start to think of all the blessings from the Lord and it lifts us up in thankfulness!

I'm still posting more simple edification on my Facebook page here. It's a blessing to use something that can be bad like Facebook sure can if used wrongly...but a joy to share all good pure and true things and not see anything vile. As we sisters often talk about being a light in a dark place on the internet and in our lives where the Lord has us shining our lights so that He is glorified!

OK sisters...hope your day goes well as you labour in all kinds of good works working diligently as unto the Lord.

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (12 April 2022)

Greetings sisters!

Hoping you're all strong in the faith today! This life in Christ is definitely an amazing one of great faith and trust in God that all His Word says is true and we love Him whom we have not even seen! And we get to rejoice in Him and be hoping for our salvation to come if we endure faithful!

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

1 Peter 1:8-9

Makes me think of the scripture also that says this...

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

1 John 4:20

...how our love for the brethren shows our true love of God and we are not liars.

Today I have a simple post to encourage my sisters. That's my hope and the love is the same no matter what I share here. I love the holy children of God! It's such a joy and so refreshing to see those who hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness and are zealous for Him! We know 99.99 to 100% of the people in our lives are not like that. We may know of a few saints now but one day we may not but God has His people out there few though they may be.

And I share some scriptures from sisters...

I so love that one and it reminds us what exactly we are doing when we obey God's commands. Yes people may think that we think we're doing something great and beyond what God calls us to but no we are not! This all is our duty and reasonable service and what is required of us. We dare not do less, and we don't want to, and that is no fruit we truly love God. And neither do we want to go beyond His Word and make up our own ways and do things God's word says nothing about practicing. Speaking of that, the world and the religious world, has it's Easter time soon and most all of those who claim the name of Christ, who is the truth, are getting caught up in it not knowing or caring that it is part of the deception that they have grown up in. Then there are others who have been told and can't give it up and don't care and are prideful against God by adding their own ways. May we sisters long to do and then do what God tells us to and reject what He say not to and not add or take from His Word.

There are so many treasures in His Word and it's strengthening to find them and ponder His greatness!

And I share some older scripture pictures from my stash. His Word never grows old though! And His creation keeps showing His greatness and power!

Speaking of the gospel, there's simple ways we women can share it with others. I mail it along with what I sell online. What precious truth it is...more valuable than the whole world as are the souls we share it with as well. If only more would heed it...but we should do our part and leave all the rest to God. He is in control and is greater than us!

Amen sisters and praise God for His Word and all good things He gives us! Hold fast sisters and Lord willing I will be back here tomorrow!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
