Today's Encouragement (22 December 2021)

Greetings sister saints!

Let's do something different and look at that phrase:

Greetings: We see many such things in Paul's letters that he wrote to the believers in different locations.

Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

Philippians 4:21

It's a blessing to greet one another in the body of Christ. We are all family in Him! I didn't used to understand this because literally EVERYONE had different beliefs and opinions and interpretations of scriptures...and how then could you be close and united with fervent love? But praise God we are commanded to be all united of one mind and we can be if it's the Holy Spirit working in us all and we're willing to kill the flesh, striving against sin.

Sister: we are godly women, sisters in the family of Christ. God is our Father. And here we are reminded who are in Christ's family.

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Matthew 12:48-50

Those who do the Father's will are! Even though I know my sisters in Christ are rare because few find the narrow road, their love for the Lord is great indeed and they are shining lights doing God's will by obeying Him.

Saints: God has called us to be holy!

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

1 Corinthians 1:2

And we women know what role we have in Christ, being Titus 2, 1 Timothy 2, 1 Peter 3, 1 Corinthians 11, 1 Corinthians 14 women. Praise God we can find the same salvation in Him and are one in that sense but we do know we do have our own place in God's creation from the beginning.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28

Praise God for being able to be holy women, sister saints, because of what He has done for us and in us and we keep working out our salvation daily. So I send greetings to my sister saints! I hope you are doing well today! I'm back here with another day the Lord gave, sharing a few things to edify you.

It's always interesting to think how God causes food to grow out of the ground for man and beast. And the plants need the water and nutrients to grow well and produce good fruit. It's all amazing how it all works together.

Share my morning cup of tea sisters...

There's many things just in that to be thankful for...water (and boiling it which means electricity or a fire behind it), a mug, tea leaves, milk, the strength to make it etc and much more. But just behind the water is an amazing cycle with the evaporation and clouds and rainfall and then being able to collect and store it to drink. So we sisters certainly learn to appreciate the 'so called' small things. We can see all the things that need to be right so we can have all these blessings. There's many things behind all these and leading up to them that all add up to something to be very grateful for. Well we know the Lord commands that we be thankful in all things. It's an attitude we sisters want to be constantly cultivating and striving for.

And did we not read above that those that do the Father's will are of Christ's family? Amen we did and I know we sisters want to always be thankful and content (We have the example of the Israelites grumbling and what God thought of that.).

Even a dead tree against the blue sky is pretty...

And fresh green leaves are pretty too..

Awesome creations wherever we look! Glory to God.

Well I think that's about it from me today sisters. I hope you are strong in the Lord and fighting the faith with steadfastness. Keep looking above sisters! Our hope and life is there if we endure! I leave you with this scripture.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

And of some have compassion, making a difference:

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:20-25

Love to you,

Sister Michaela

My Sharing for Today

Hello sisters!

I back here sharing some encouragement and edification (and I'm back home too).

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1 Thessalonians 5:15

Praise God for telling us how to relate to fellow believers and also others. It's interesting how there is a big distinction made between believers and unbelievers. Well I know there is a huge difference and destination too. In my past I had a wrong view of that as well as not understanding the seperation of the true believers from those of the world (and especially sinful claimed believers as commanded). In that I mean we can take a command for what we are to do in the body of Christ from the Word and apply it to others when we shouldn't...applying it to the wrong group. Or the unbelievers or false converts can grab a scripture too that doesn't apply to them in order to justify something they shouldn't. Perhaps one example being that God is love and ignore the facts of His coming wrath lest they repent. So we do see in scripture a clear distinction between the saints and the world and obviously we relate to the two groups quite differently. So the context is important isn't it sisters...who it's written too. We're blessed to have the written Word of God aren't we sisters. Let us keep being not only hearers of it but also doers! That means there will be action on our part. Because if we truly believe in God then we also believe what He says and commands too.

Long story short, I had to make a trip yesterday to a house of family members (who can't live there because of the current restricted and unpredictable world situation). I didn't need to stay long so I'm back home now but I share some of God's creation from my day.

Lots of crops on the drive which means the Lord provided a good harvest to provide food for man and animals...

I saw this baby bird fallen out of the nest...so I put him back. He fell out again so maybe he's the weaker one and may not make it but he had to few more chances.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-31

God sees and knows about all of His animal creations...so let us sisters trust in Him because we are more valuable than sparrows and He cares for us! Just think of all the many many blessings we have daily! He has provided us with more than we need for sure! So let us be thankful sisters! Most of all He made a way for us back to the Father through His Son and gives us power to be His children!

We see in the scriptures many examples and pictures from nature and particularly agriculture type things and spiritual lessons from them don't we.

Here's an olive tree and I thought of Romans 11...

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

Romans 11:22-24

And we all think of this one I'm sure about Christ the vine and we are the branches and in Him we bear much fruit.

And there's many more of course.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matthew 25:31-34

That's quite a picture there...of a shepherd seperating his sheep from his goats (and remember the sheep were the ones that had done things to Him).

Peaceful...

Beautiful moon rising...

Glory to God for His creation wherever it is found! It's all over isn't it!

And thank you sister for sharing this and the scripture...

Amen let us trust in the Lord to preserve us. We know nothing will happen to us that He doesn't allow.

And we know who God approves of and blesses.

You have a good and fruitful joyous day sisters! Keep holding fast and glorifying the Father by obeying Him!

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Called to Be Holy

Greetings to my godly sisters!

How are you all? I hope you are all strong in the Lord and joyous in Him!

A sister and I were messaging and reminded each other that God calls us holy and to be holy and we were rejoicing in how much of a blessing that is. And we were talking about how people demean our precious Saviour and His mighty power by calling His people sinners. (Yes we can still fall into sin on occasions but we don't live in it daily without striving against it.) Those of us who have been born by His Spirit and washed in His blood have His power to live above sin and be victorious over it...although we always have this flesh to war with.

So I wanted to share a few scriptures on being holy. It's encouraging especially when people try to call us all sinners. Yes we were that but praise God we have been cleansed by the blood of Christ washed clean and forgiven! We have a great hope through Him!

We sisters love this one don't we...

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

1 Peter 3:4-5

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

2 Timothy 1:9

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

1 Peter 1:14-16

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2 Peter 3:11

What great scriptures to encourage us to be holy! What a holy God we have to serve and one day if we endure get to be with Him!

Thank you sister for all these awesome scripture pictures...

And we know at the moment both are growing together in this world...

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:30

One day we shall be gathered safely home with the Father!

I love that! How encouraging sisters!

Amen what peace we can have in Him!

OK that's what I have for my sisters today! I am away from home for the time being so I am not sure if I will have good phone reception but I'll do my best to post here if I can! And you keep striving on sisters!

Love to my holy sisters,

Sister Michaela

Today's Edification (19th December)

Greetings in Him sisters! And amen what blessings we have from our God...peace and love and faith.

I looked up a few verses with the word consider and share a few for our daily sisterly  encouragement.

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Luke 12:27-28

Right we can consider the creation and faithfully trust in our God to provide us with necessary things.

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Hebrews 10:24

We love that one don't we sisters because we do our best to do that often.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:3

That's an encouragement knowing all our Saviour endured for us.

There are many things for us to consider in this life isn't there sisters.

I thought of this verse today...

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

Psalm 39:1-2

And I'm sure it's sometimes what you sisters feel like. Sometimes when we have to be around the people of this world (including people claiming Christ and living in sin) they all go about talking of idle things a lot. There's such a huge gap between those born of God and those not that we just best be silent and go about our business...heartily and joyously as unto the Lord. All our words do matter and oftentimes less is better than to say a whole lot of words that really don't mean a lot. Goes along with us having a meek and quiet spirit too. We can think of our Saviour too standing before His accusers silent. He could have easily defended Himself too but He did not. God knows the truth of all things and that is always a great comfort. The people who are not born of the Spirit will have a hard time understanding the life we live but that's ok because we need to live for God and not worry about what other people think of us. If we have shared the truth of the gospel with those in our lives and they don't want to hear it well we have done our part and we ourselves must please the Lord and focus on Him not people. Those who are seeking truth will know where to come if they ever want more truth. And why? Because we aren't to hide our light under a basket but shine it through our good works so the Father is glorified!

God has been good to me to give me a few close sisters who I treasure and communicate much with daily. We understand each other well and can relate on so much because of the Spirit and Word. We are centered around Christ and the holy life He calls us to. What a blessing this is because so few want to have God first in their lives. He's just a side 'add-on' and sadly they believe it's an automatic thing they get to just believe in Jesus and they don't have to put in a great deal of effort themselves. Not for salvation itself of course but because of our faith in Christ. He has done so much for us! We have our part to do for sure! We can just see the scriptures packed full of commands and warnings and encouragement to endure! And we're blessed with specific ones for us women too.

I think it's funny because I've been a rather quiet person all my life but I've come to appreciate talking to my sisters even if I've never met them:-) Love for God and His holy saints overcomes much! We are blessed to send audios back and forth daily and read scriptures to one another and it's so encouraging. Though we are all scattered on this earth and few and far between God gave us the blessing of technology to use for good and His glory! And we surely have a fervent love.

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:12-14

I love that and us sisters are surely zealous of good works! We love the Lord and want to keep His ways. It's so refreshing to see because it's so rare.

More awesome blessings from the garden...

Thanks be to God for all things He created and provides.

I thought this was a nice picture. A tiny tomato plant barely surviving with only a few leaves yet it was producing much fruit...

Maybe it reminds us how even if we can be weak in body with weaknesses and sickness, we're still bearing much fruit:-) Or something Iike that.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 15:8

Christ's disciples....that's what we are to be if we believe Him. And we deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Him. We get to be sisters in His family and daughters of the most High God!

Until tomorrow Lord willing sisters, you hold fast and keep shining your light, being salt, and standing firm on the truth!

Much love in Christ to you,

Sister Michaela

Today's Edification (18th December)

Hello sisters!

Our Lord reigns! And we sisters, His daughters, get to serve Him and He's preparing a place for His faithful! Isn't this a big deal? Yes it is and He is first in our lives. We are blessed!

I love this verse...

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Romans 14:19

It makes me think of sisters, mature in the faith, and not fighting over things that don't matter (things that aren't sinful). It goes along with how we are to be preferring one before another, being patient with one another, and loving one another fervently.

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

 Colossians 3:12-15

God's ways are so wonderful. So rare to see them truly followed sadly but it is so refreshing when you see sisters (and brothers) striving hard to follow God's ways fully.

That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

Romans 15:32

Amen there is so much refreshing spending time edifying and encouraging and communicating with the true saints of God. We live with the world (which includes false believers) around us as of course we are in this world (but not of it) so what a refreshment to be with those who are made alive by the Spirit of the true and living God!

Today I got to harvest some of the onion crop...

I got a wheelbarrow load which was about a third of it. What blessings of the Father to make such an awesome creation to grow out of the ground for the food of man!

And they will dry out for awhile before storing them...

And some input from a sister as we were sharing together...

Yes how blessed we are above the bare basics of food! Glory to God! Let not one complaining word be ever found amongst us sisters. We are to be thankful and content!

I was reminded of this too from old times...

And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 23:22

We see God's care for those in need. And we too who now walk in the Spirit also care for one another.

Amen we all indeed were going astray! Praise God we can heed the call of the Shepherd and come home to follow Him (and not false shepherds).

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

John 10:11-14

I say amen to that! I'm blessed to have sisters as my friends. (Thank you sister for giving me those scripture picture gifts!) Amen it truly rejoices the heart to receive encouragement and edification and such from my sisters!

I must go now sister saints...my day is over. How about yours? I hope it is going well or was a good day in the Lord!

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:11

Amen!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Edification (17th December)

Hello sisters!

I'm back sharing some edification for today and some of my day. Hope yours is going well!

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2 Timothy 3:10-12

That's an encouraging example in Paul because he went through so much. Yet the Lord delivered him so many times. Reminds me of the time he was stoned and they threw him out of the city as dead...but he rose up and kept going! We serve a mighty God! And we see accounts of the Lord mightily delivering His people from dangerous situations; like Daniel out of the lion's den and the three Israelites in the fiery furnace. Nothing is impossible with Him.

We certainly know don't we sisters that we also are not promised an easy life at all. And we can think of Joseph in Egypt and the prison, and Jesus going through His suffering and death. Yes we know to expect suffering for Christ...but whatever the Lord allows is good. He is so worth it all! It works patience in us for sure and that is a good thing and part of our daily endurance.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 5:3-5

So may we sisters keep pressing on through the easier times and the harder times. We can always be ready to love not our lives unto death for our Lord! And for now we all have our duties to do as godly women shining our lights and clinging fast to the truth.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

1 Thessalonians 4:11

Gathering vegetables to cook with...

Praise God for all things whether we can grow them from a garden or buy them from a store. We're richly blessed with many good foods to cook healthy foods for those in our lives and ourselves to keep us going in our works for the Lord.

Saw a delicate bird nest fallen out of the tree...

It amazes me that birds can make such intricate things...all the glory to their Creator!

Saw there was even a law under the old covenant to do with birds and their nests...

If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young: But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

Deuteronomy 22:6-7

Interesting. We know God cares about His creation too.

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Luke 12:24

Calf feeding time...

And an awesome sunset with a bit of lightning...so pretty.

Glory to God!

Pretty sun in my room window (and thank you sister for adding the scripture and sending it back:-)

I got to see this cute frog last night...

(I sent it to my sisters and one added the words and sent it back. We glorify God together:-) I love frogs and I'm glad I got to see that one. They are for sure amazing creatures that our great God made! And there's so many varieties the world over too!

I still remember seeing this pretty green one on a family trip back in 2011...

It was awesome to see. I've shared it before but I never tire of seeing it:-) And I love the raindrops on the leaves too.

And I share some scriptures from a sister too...

He gives His Spirit to those who obey Him. Let us sisters keep our focus on the Lord and not listen to those who take it all lightly and say we don't have to obey everything. We know we do and we want to!

I love that! We know the Lord hears His people!

And so can we too...faithfully endure to the end, keeping the faith. Our reward is to come!

It's a blessing to be able to love God and His Word and share it and life together in Him.

May the Lord bless you sisters! Keep holding fast and working out your salvation!

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:9-12

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Light in Dark Places

Greetings sister soldier saints!

How are you enduring today?

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 6:15

And we too patiently endure and our promise is to come!

I read this this morning and wondering at our great God we serve...

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

Exodus 10:22-23

That's a bit like us sisters, being lights in a dark world. Because it is a work of God in us that we have light!

And wherever we go we see God's light is mostly hated...

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:19-21

And it's not our light is it sisters because we have none on our own but from the Lord. He is light! And we know people really don't hate us but the God we serve and obey.

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Luke 11:34-36

I like that...the bright shining of a candle. 🕯️I know a few of you dear sisters who love the light! You are shining brightly in a dark wicked world! God is glorified when we do that!

And we know this one too sisters...

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:11

And the unfuitful works of darkness are indeed very many aren't they. One that comes to mind would be not loving the brethren in the faith. That is a work fo darkness. There would be a huge list of those works of darkness and the Word tells us what they are if we look.

And light and darkness cannot be mixed...

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2 Corinthians 6:14

I thought of this verse...about sin finding us out.

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Numbers 32:23

We can't hide from the holy, holy, holy God who sees and knows the depths of man's heart. He sees into the darkness.

But let us sisters shine as bright lights...as those around us love darkness.

And one day this will be! Rejoice sisters!

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:43

We will get to shine forth in the Father's kingdom...how encouraging. He is good to us. Let us live to please Him. He is worthy!

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:13-14

Amen we know God looks after His servants and those who trust Him. He is preparing a place for us!

(Thank you sister for those scripture pictures:-)

I love seeing this old bark peeling off and the fresh new bark inside....

Amazing creation of God.

Sunny warm day today good for drying...

Calves slowly growing bigger on all the milk...

You just all keep doing your works the Lord has in your lives sisters. These are pleasing to our Father. He sees all things...what we do and what others do. Nothing is hidden. What a great comfort knowing we love and serve such a great and loving God!

That's what I have for today. Keep fighting the good fight of faith sister saints!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
