Sharing Some of My Day and Edification

Greetings sister saints!

I'm back! Hope all of you are back too, striving on in the faith one more day!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35-39

It can be fascinating watching ants build a nest. One grain of dirt at a time they make their nests and build a pile of sand outside.

They are just another of God's many, many creations. They sure work diligently to keep their colony going. We can learn much from God's creation!

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

Proverbs 6:6-8

And some beautiful flowers...

And then I got asked by a sibling to help move sheep along the road....

Burnt out tractor down the road...

Reminds me of the coming fire of God's judgment coming. Let us be ready, found of this great God in peace, looking to meet Him!

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

What a great and glorious hope for those in Christ...and a warning for those who aren't!

Pretty willow trees down by the lake...

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psalm 46:10-11

Thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures.

By love serve one another...I love that! And we see again about not using our liberty in Christ for walking in the flesh.

After listing a whole list of sins/works of the flesh Paul goes on to say...

...of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:21-25

Goes along with this too...

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1

And I'd like to put a note here about walking in the flesh for women that could also include not wanting to dress biblical and put on a headcovering because of what people will think...that's pride which God hates. It could include a woman just going along with pagan holidays etc just to get along with family or friends. That is like idolatry too isn't it because we are doing what we please rather than obeying God who says to separate from sin and false ways. I'm thankful for those saints who lose their own lives and mortify the flesh to follow after Christ! We are not our own, but have been bought with a great price!

That's a nice scripture. Praise God for the truths in His Word!

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Proverbs 30:5

Ok I must leave it there sisters! Lord willing I shall be back sharing here tomorrow. Strive on in the faith through all things we have to live through here on earth!

Love in Christ,

Sharing a Few Things

Greetings sisters!

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

2 John 1:3

Hope your day is going well...in the Lord!

I'm back with a few bits and pieces to share and edify you sisters; His Word, His creation, and a few things from the life of this sister striving to live a holy life for the Lord.

This is just a picture of the sky and clouds. But isn't it so beautiful?! I think so.

Everywhere you look we can see the creations of God and praise Him for them!

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

Psalm 145:3-5

We have been blessed with a good mulberry crop this year.

So I thought it was best to freeze some (right after being picked). I washed them and let them drain and dry a bit and then spread them on a single layer on a tray.

Once frozen you can store them however you do in a freezer bag or container.

I think I am going to make some chia pudding with them. See how that goes. Praise the Lord for all He provides!

Though we don't deserve all He has done for us and given us, we strive to walk worthy of Him, don't we sisters.

Today my youngest sister and I picked up two calves to raise to sell (Lord willing). While we were waiting for the farmer to come, I took a quick video of the cute and pretty calves there. Aren't they sweet?

And here's our two safely home...

We will have some more work to do feeding them milk for awhile.

I was telling a sister how we used to have a cow that was dry, as she hadn't had a calf for about ten years, but when we put an orphaned calf in with her, after awhile, she started producing milk again and fed it. I found an old picture:-) That's not the original calf she was feeding as we had two around the same time but she must have let that one drink a bit too.

Amazing what God's creations can do. Glory to Him of course!

Thank you sister for sharing this picture...

Let us strive to be counted worthy of this holy God we serve!

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

So that's all I have to share today. Hope to be back tomorrow. Strive on in the true faith sisters! Hold fast!

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 5:10-11

Our Part in the Body

Hello sisters!

Hope each of you are strong in Christ, casting off the flesh, putting on the armour of light, and striving on, fighting this fight of faith. I'm blessed with another day to come back here and share a few things to edify. And the Lord is faithful to bring things to me, from His Word, each day because I couldn't do it without Him or all He has done in my life of course.

I know I've shared on this before how we all are different in the body of Christ and we don't all try to be the same. Yes the same in doctrine and our beliefs because we have the Word and Spirit and we are to be joined in unity in those things and in the same judgments.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:10

But in the other areas of who we are, what we do, how we do them, as long as nothing is sin, it is a good thing to all be doing our different parts. We have to not compare ourselves to someone who we think might be more 'useful' in God's kingdom or more 'in favour with God' or something like that. If we aren't being faithful in what we have and are being lazy in the body then yes we should feel ashamed and do what we can to overcome that but apart from that the Lord made us who we are and we really should just want to be His humble workers in whatever job we have and do it well! Not to say we can't learn and grow into what we have been given or called to do but we're not to be comparing ourselves one to the other.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Romans 12:3-5

More about being sober minded about it all there too. We know from Titus 2 and 1 Timothy 2 that we women are told to be sober. So much about that isn't there? It makes me also think of being on guard lest we fall or thinking we are something when we are not. Those would be pride but instead we need to be wise and knowing the truth, striving on lest we fall or believe in vain. Goes along with working out our salvation with fear and trembling because there are so many around who say they've 'got salvation' guaranteed right now and forever...even though they haven't lived to their end yet. That's where we know we have to endure till the end to be saved!

So we know every member of the body has different gifts. But all are to love. Obviously we know love is an action. God sending Christ was an act of love to the world. We are to have great love between the saints. How is that love shown if we just say we love and no fruit or actions follow? It would be a lie. Of course it is a bit different being all scattered and not all gathering in one place in a physical sense but we have other options today to show love...true godly love like 1 Corinthians 13 talks about. The love that isn't self seeking, is not prideful, but looks out for and cares for others.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

That's pretty serious if we don't have love!

What are some ways a woman can serve the body? Obviously, not being in positions of leadership, we have limited roles in it but that doesn't mean there's isn't much to do and we just sit around and be idle, no! Quite the opposite.

We see in love that it's all connected with loving God and keeping His commandments in truth.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

1 John 5:2-3

So looking at scripture we can see some parts that women have in the body...and what some of them did.

*We see women with Jesus and His disciples feeding and looking after their physical needs with their material possessions. (Luke 8:3)

*We see women suffering persecution and imprisonment for Christ by the hands of Saul. (Acts 8:3)

*We see Dorcas sewing for the poor and being full of good works. (Acts 9)

*We see Lydia showing hospitality to the apostles and disciples (Acts 16)

*We see Priscilla with Aquila, as a couple, mentioned often in being active as workers in the body.

*We see Paul commending the hard work of sisters labouring among the saints. (Romans 16)

*We see women laboring with Paul in the gospel. (Philippians 4)

*We see that a woman (widow) was commended for washing the saint's feet, and being diligent in every good work. (1 Timothy 5:10)

*We see the older women are to be teaching the younger women. (Titus 2)

*We see there are women who are the faithful wives of the elders/leaders. No doubt they had a good part in being responsible for the leading men having well behaved houses in looking after and guiding the children. (1 Timothy 3)

*We see women potentially winning unbelieving/disobedient husbands without a word. (1 Peter 3)

*We see women are to be respectfully silent when the body is gathered and men are teaching and sharing in spiritual matters. (1 Corinthians 14, 1 Timothy 2)

*We see women are to respect their husbands and ask them questions. (1 Corinthians 14)

*We see a woman is to have a meek and quiet spirit which is true adornment of the heart and not have external adornment on her clothing or by wearing jewelry or makeup. (1 Peter 3, 1 Timothy 2)

*We see a woman is to cover her head and hair (her glory), being under authority of the men, and because of the angels. (1 Corinthians 11)

So that's some of the ones that came to mind though of course there are many more. I just started writing on this this morning so I don't necessarily work over it all thoroughly but it's just to encourage us sisters as to our roles in the body and you can think of other things too. Being scattered shining all over the world means we may be connected via technology but we can all do the best we can to show true love in actions through that. And we can pray one for another, help bear burdens across the miles, share scriptures and encouraging words, be aware for those who might be struggling, and such like.

We know the two greatest commands are to love God and others so all we do should come from that and our motives pure.

So I think I will leave it there sisters! It would be interesting to see if all of us sisters were given a title to write some encouragement on or a women's teaching subject, all the different words and things we would share! We are all different but are to be united in His body and functioning as one in love and care for one another.

Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow! Hold fast to the truth sisters!

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Ephesians 5:20-21

Love in Christ,

Walking Circumspectly

Greetings sisters!

Hope you are well! Standing strong in the faith!

I was thinking about this subject of being aware of our surroundings as we walk through this world. I thought about that because around here you have to watch where you step this time of year because of poisonous snakes. And we are told to also be spiritually watchful through his life...there are so many things out to destroy our faith.

I made you an audio with a scripture reading to go along with my post...

Hope it edifies and encourages you in some way.

I love this scripture!

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Proverbs 4:25-27

Doesn't that just explain so much of what we are to do? There are so many fleshly distractions and things that a follower of Christ, set on the kingdom of God has no interest or time for (plus the sin of them). Some examples would be entertainment (sports, music, games, TV, movies), politics, fashion, etc. So we are in the world but our minds and hearts are set on things above, eternal things.

We know we are to crucify our flesh and instead walk in the Spirit. We know that from the very first sin, the forbidden fruit appealed to Eve's flesh...it was pleasing to her eyes and good for food and would make her wise. God had set before her all the other trees in the garden to freely eat from...but she was deceived in her flesh and disobeyed the command of God.

That Proverb is a good one to remember to evaluate everything in our lives and not let unnecessary distractions even of good, pure, and true things to shift our focus off what it should be. Reminds me also of seeking first the kingdom of God and setting our affections on things above.

And this one is a good one too...

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:14-17

Our walk is important as we know we have to endure through this battlefield for however long the Lord has for us. And we women have our own roles, different from the men, but God can use the so called 'weak' things (like women being submissive, not the leaders or authorities, quieter, or the weaker vessels) in mighty ways. When we follow what we are supposed to it works as He would have it work. We have to conform to His ways and not this world's. In God's strength and with the armour He has supplied for us - which we are to put on - God can use us women as His soldiers. We know it is a spiritual battle don't we sisters? So we women can also be strong, rooted in Christ and unwavering off His truth when the world all around us is against us. That is because we know who we believe and trust His promises. He gives us of His Spirit and we love Him and His truth.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

2 Timothy 1:12

Let's be aware sisters of the dangers that are all around us, walk wisely, looking to the Lord for wisdom and strength to get through.

------------------------------------------------------

In the meanwhile as we are striving through this battlefield we get to appreciate the Father's creations and give Him glory. But best of all we know we have the promise of a new heaven and a new earth!

Cute mummy chicken sitting on eggs (we added mostly duck eggs)...

Peaceful bird in the veggie garden...

(Thank you sister for adding the scripture:-) It's such a simple Titus 2 pic with a reminder to trust in the Lord!)

OK sisters I had better go. Lord willing I will be back tomorrow here. Hopefully catch up with some of you in between. Hold fast sisters!

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:1-2

Called to Be Saints...

Hello sister saints!

How are you? I'm back with some simple encouragement and edification for us sisters. We have one of more day the Lord has granted us to live and serve Him. What a great choice we have to serve Him or not. Our days will run out eventually (or soon) and we know this life is short (even though it can seem long) so let us use it for this great God we love. What a great calling we have to be Christ's, to bear His name as Christians, and to carry the seeds of truth of the gospel to eternal life through Him.

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

1 Corinthians 1:2

I just love that, 'called to be saints'! (And you can go do a deeper study on the Greek word behind the translation to 'saint').

And what's the opposite of being a saint/holy....a sinner. But we don't see in scripture saints being called sinners do we...unless they fall into sin.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

2 Timothy 1:7-10

What a great and high calling we have. So let us strive to walk worthy...holy in all areas of our lives and not settling for anything less.

Similarly we see from Titus 2 that women are to be 'chaste' (and taught to be) which has a very similar meaning to holy. It's such a deception around where people saying it doesn't matter about sin anymore. But let us strive to be holy women of God. We can shine brightly in a wicked world of feminism, uncovered heads, and the unclothed. And sadly those are common among those who claim to be of Christ. We cannot deceive God can we. He knows all things.

I know we can get tired of all the sin we know is in this world and if we have to face it. And of course we all battle with our own flesh until we die and we have to repent of any sin in our own lives. But what a joy to know such a holy God and one day, because of the work of His Son, we can get to go be with Him in a holy place. That is so encouraging to look forward to isn't it sisters! No more sin or unholiness to deal with!

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Revelation 4:8

And a glimpse of some peaceful flower creations...

It's refreshing seeing the other parts of creation (apart from man) doing what they were created to do. But we want to strive hard to be doing what we were created to do don't we sisters.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 4:11

(Thank you sister for the scripture:-)

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1 Peter 1:24-25

What hope and consolation to know the Lord who is eternal. His truth is such a solid anchor and rock in this world of drifting ideas, opinions, deception, sin, and all that. Aren't you glad we can build upon a rock sisters?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Luke 6:47-48

Amen sisters! Let us build upon that Rock and stand strong when all around us is unstable sand. And remember our calling to be holy.

Love to you holy women of God,

Sister Michaela

One More Day...in the Lord

Hello sisters!

I'm back for one more day with some simple edification in the Lord. How are each of you? Are you standing strong in the Lord and His truth?

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 4:14-15

I made an audio for you sisters with a scripture reading. Hope it blesses you.

Let us not be worried about the future sisters! Let us take this life in Christ being content in what He has called us and doing the best with each moment.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:34

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 5:1-5

Little bit of sewing today...

And some good food to share and praise the Lord for providing...

Even in the simple every day things we women need to do, let us not look down on such things but do them unto the Lord knowing they are good works for us women. The Father is glorified in us shining our lights.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

Amen sisters, so let us quietly go about our business unto the Lord.

So that's my simple edification and encouragement for my sisters' day! Hope your day goes well, focused on things above!

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 2:17

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement

Hello sisters,

Yes I'm back with some simple encouragement from a simple life in the Lord. Yes let's not forget each day is a gift from the Lord as we don't deserve any of this. But we have a merciful and gracious God don't we sisters. What a choice we get to serve Him! What a blessing to get to be His humble servants as we are absolutely nothing without Him!

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

Galatians 6:3-4

We have need of patience in this life. The Lord doesn't just take us to be with Him does He. He gave us work to do to love and glorify Him, and share the hope of the gospel with the lost. But each day we endure and shall receive the promise...if we are faithful unto death.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 6:15

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:5-8

I like that. What an encouragement that others finished their race and so can we!

More glory to this great Creator for all He has made!

Beautiful sunshine to dry the clothes...

I found a good way to have freedom from the mean rooster when I need to go into the chicken yard. Yep he's under there:-) (I think I need to do that more often.)

Some in my family and I were briefly talking about our fig trees and what to do with the fruit. One of them mentioned about Jesus and the fig tree that wasn't bearing fruit so let's strive to produce much good fruit sisters...in Christ of course because without Him...we cannot.

Another day for me is almost over...

We all have to learn to best redeem the time and reorganize and refocus our lives on the most important things we have each day.

Thank you sister for the pictures...

Reminds me of this one...

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Philippians 1:21

I love that...the Lord is the strength of my life!

Amen sisters! Stand strong against all the sin and compromise and false doctrines around us!

And thank you for sharing and encouraging with scriptures sisters!

Yes let us remember each day to do our works, as godly women, unto the Lord!

Hope to be back tomorrow sisters! Hope and pray you all walk on in faith, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Philippians 1:27

Love, peace and joy in the Lord,

Sister Michaela
