Today's Encouragement (9 July 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope your days are going along well as you 'be' godly holy women of the Lord's! We may live quiet lives us sisters even though we may be busy of course but we do have different roles to men. We know that to fear God is the start of wisdom and if someone does not fear God they are foolish.

So let's fear the Lord first sisters and because we do, we obey Him and the roles He has give to us, some of which we read about in Titus 2. And we know serving others is a very good thing to do and to not live selfish lives or living in our own pleasures.
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
1 Timothy 5:6

We don't want to be that although we were there once we are no more!

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

 Titus 3:3

God has set us free from all those idle fleshly lusts and we are alive from the dead! We now fill our time with useful helpful things and all good things.

And we also know that we as women can and should carry the good news of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, to the lost and anyone who wants to hear!

I think of these women who did such work...

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Luke 2:38

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

Matthew 28:7-8

What a mighty Saviour we do have who came to save us from our sins!

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

 Romans 6:1,2,22

And He is risen indeed and so we too can be partakers of His resurrection and not partakers of the second death.

I share this scripture I came across too...

The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:4-7

I appreciate it all but I like that bit about speaking a word in season to him that is weary. I want to encourage my sisters if they're growing weary! And as it says too about setting our faces like flint which is not getting distracted is it sisters from our task at hand of seeking first His kingdom and righteousness!

Hold fast to the Word sisters...all of it as many try to twist or pick some verses out to arrive at deceptive deadly doctrines. Let's remember the "it is also writtens" and that...

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
