A Simple Yet Glorious Life

Hello sisters!

And this may be "just another" post from me but I realise that even though it may be a simple life many of us are living in the Lord, it is a blessed and most glorious life. Why? Because it is doing the will of the Lord and if we are born anew by the gospel then we have the best life ever. Our hope is to come but we have that promise of salvation in Christ!

"Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

1 Peter 1:9

And reminds me of this...

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it."

Matthew 13:45-46

Because what we have is so precious!

Praise God that Christ...

How can we not rejoice even while going about the wearying days because we have that hope and great riches?! Sometimes I need to remind myself of this. And I hope that you can be blessed in pondering it to.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."

Romans 8:14-21

Amen!

And as women we can rejoice in the role the Lord has for us as submissive and quiet in spirit. While to some it may seem "less important" what we have to do in this life what we have been called to do, it is God's design and we shouldn't lust for things that are not for godly women (ie jobs the men have, or to be dressed more to fit in with others etc).

My day was simply mostly looking after the little ones. Yes that may be a large part of what some of us do as women. It may be the same things day in and day out but we must remember what the Lord wants from us women and do it with joy and endurance.

Here's a healthy meal option from my day; it's a huge bag from Costco.

Yum!

And tea tonight.

It's similar to last night's I shared...another chicken stir fry.

And includes my favourite nuts...

And I used a tiny pumpkin from the garden here. I love those little drops of water that come out when it's cut:-)

So that's just a bit of my simple yet busy day.

And evening peace at my tent...

And as I type this after dark I can hear a cow grazing on grass nearby...for some reason that's peaceful:-) I'm one who seems to hear every little noise...and I need my quiet to sleep well...but I have to try to ignore all that going on around me if I want to get some sleep out here. It's all what you are used to I guess. There were animals being noisy last night and so I listen to all that at night but I'm blessed to have a place to rest and relax at the end of the day. And I can edify you sisters from it:-)

"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"

1 Corinthians 1:27

Remember that too sisters. People might laugh and mock and think we are foolish being biblical women in this faithless and unclothed generation. But God uses things such as that for His purposes. And maybe we can also see that in 1 Peter 3 where it says about a woman's quietness being potentially to the saving of a soul just by her obedient life lived. Goes along with this too.

"For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him."

Matthew 21:32

Well sisters I'll leave it at that for today. Let us rejoice for the glorious life we can live (though expecting and preparing for persecutions)...and the future and hope we have in Christ.

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."
Titus 2:11-14

And a blessing from another sister saint...

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

Philippians 3:20-21

Love in Christ,

...from a daughter of God
