Greetings sisters!
Here I am back again on another day the Lord allowed me to be! I hope you are striving on and standing in the faith!
I was driving home yesterday as the sun was setting and it reminds me of time and if we are redeeming it well. The days are just slipping by fast and eternity is coming closer for us all.
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.Colossians 4:5-6
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.Ephesians 5:15-17
There's a lot about being wise in there and we know that certainly starts with fearing God. And that leads us to forsake sin and obey Him. He is the source of wisdom and we are to seek it from Him.
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.Proverbs 16:6
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.Proverbs 8:13
And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.Job 28:28
And as I shared yesterday about preparing for eternity and how that's what we are and should be focusing on doing. The Lord has given us work to do as well and part of being ready is doing that well as unto Him no doubt. Of course our heart is most important to work on as all our actions come from that.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Proverbs 4:23-27
I heard this scripture today and it's a good one...
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:7-14
And we say amen. We want the Lord to lead and guide us in His good ways don't we sisters. We surely do not want to sin against Him wilfully or in ignorance. May He help keep us from evil. May we feast on His Word and cleave to Him with purpose of heart.
Keep seeking His kingdom sisters! He has done so much for us. Let us walk worthy of Him. We have been called to do it, so it is possible all through Him! Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied unto you.
