Greetings sister saints!
I am dropping in again to share some edification with you! I hope you are holding fast in the faith once delivered and the gospel that cannot be changed in Christ our Saviour!
I was pondering on preparing today. There's a lot of preparing we do in physical things and also the world around us is preparing for all sorts of things, a lot of which are empty, vain, and sinful. But are we diligently preparing for eternity? It's really the most important thing to be doing in life.
And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.Luke 12:47
Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.Luke 12:40
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.Matthew 25:10
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation 19:7-9
So let us be preparing and ready, watching and waiting for our Lord. We know not what day is our last either so may we be ready at all times and keep faithful to the Lord, walking worthy of our calling. I have had a long and busy day here so will go and prepare for my next day by resting up, if the Lord has it for me.
