Today's Edification (9 September 2024)

Greetings sister saints!

Good to be blessed with another day to come here to share all good things in the Lord! And I hope you're pressing on wherever you are! Our Saviour is worthy!

Always good to ponder on the Lord's goodness at the start of the day and right through! So I share some scriptures on that!

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Psalm 27:13

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
Psalm 31:19

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
Psalm 33:5

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psalm 107:8-9

Amen He is worthy to be praised for His goodness!

But we remember His severity as well though.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Romans 11:22

And His goodness leads us to repentance!

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 2:4

There is hope! We can escape His wrath. That's a very precious gift not to be taken lightly.

We shouldn't avoid thinking of or talking about God's wrath as so many only focus on His love but let us live by every Word of God.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Romans 1:18

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Romans 5:9

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Ephesians 5:6-7

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 1:10

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 6:17

It's so important to know the truth! Let us walk in all the truth sisters! Let us abide in His love through keeping His ways.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:9-10

Good to ponder on and of course obey this scripture...

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Matthew 7:3-5

Jesus always put things in such a way that we would understand them much better! We can see the foolishness of what is described. Reminds me of this one too...

Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Matthew 23:24

We don't want to overlook anything of our own faults nor be hypocrites. God's Word is always for our instruction in what pleases Him!

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Proverbs 28:13

Well I had better go now but thankful for the opportunity to edify my sisters with His Word! Keep going in all your godly women's works and I will keep going here. Let us do all things unto the Lord! That includes washing dishes, cooking meals, doing laundry, and caring for little ones and whatever other types of duties you have! Don't grow weary in any well doing, sisters! We will reap the Lord's rewards if we don't faint!

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

Titus 3:14-15

Much love and a holy hug,

Sister Chayil
