Greetings sister saints!
I'm dropping back again here as I have another day. It's been a really busy one with a lot of helping in it so I just need to be brief but hope you are all strong in the Lord and also doing well in your good works in your day wherever you are!
Let us look to the Lord, our source of strength!
For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
Psalm 18:28-32
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31
I was pondering how we want to be comparing ourselves to the Word and the Lord and His ways don't we sisters. Even without realizing it we could be comparing ourselves to other people. This could be to the world or to other believers. While we can be good examples to each other and that but we align our lives to His commands and standards which are high. As the world gets darker we sisters need to live out God's ways as He ordained them and we don't want to get watered down or lose our salt or have dim lights do we. The Lord help us do our best in an ever changing culture. Of course there's things of the world we use and inventions and technology and physical things that are constantly changing and 'advancing' but it's the faith once delivered that doesn't change that we cling too! The Lord and His truth is our Rock and we can trust He won't suddenly change all His commands now that Christ has come and the new and better living way is here. Let us hold fast to His Word that is written and test all things to it including our lives and actions.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.1 John 5:13
Strive on my sisters and I love you all in the Lord, my spiritual family! We all are wanting to do the will of God and have been born into His family through the Spirit which He gives to those who believe and obey Him with willing hearts! His family is scattered all over the world, but one day when we have all endured we shall be with Him around the throne!
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.Revelation 7:9-10
