Today's Edification (3 August 2024)

Hello sisters!

Another day is here to keep seeking the kingdom of God! We do not belong in the kingdoms of this world and we see the corruption and wickedness of them. We long for a new heaven and earth where righteousness dwells. We can pray for His kingdom to come. It is what we are preparing for.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

We see the hope to come...

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Revelation 11:15
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Revelation 12:10

May we be striving to be accounted worthy to be a part of it...

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
2 Thessalonians 1:5

God has told us in many places who will not enter...

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Ephesians 5:5

It is not easy to enter...

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts 14:22

It is a kingdom not of this world...

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
John 18:36

Those entering must be born of His Spirit...

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:5

Just good to ponder on and be reminded to keep preparing for it sisters! We must also do our best while we are living in the kingdoms of this world. God told us to obey the authorities as they are ordained by Him to punish evil doers. But we also know we are not a part of this world nor entangled in all it does. It's surely vain and foolish what lost man strives for...power and pride and fame and riches and all sorts which profit nothing in the kingdom of God. So let us be walking blameless and shining our lights here while we wait for our new home. Surely our citizenship is in heaven!

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:14-15

I also wanted to share some scriptures on uphold! It's encouraging and strengthening!

Some don't care about sin. Some think near enough is good enough. Some like us sisters want to call what God calls sin, sin and what God calls good, good. And then some who go too far and start making things up. There's one truth yet man seems to have various deceptions either side of it. All the different opinions of man are tiring but let us refresh in the Word and keep seeking the pure truth.

It just reminded me of this scripture for some reason and sometimes things you see in the Word jump out at you as being what happens today. No new thing is there really and man's heart is the same.

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
Ezekiel 13:22

We must listen to God and not man or satan and his lies. I love thinking about pure hearts and I know His saints have those even though we still need to fight the fleshly man.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8

Let us continue to walk in His pure ways! I'm thankful again to know the way! Let's treasure it as it is a treasure above measure!

Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Psalm 119:17-18

Grace, mercy, and peace,

Chayil
