Today's Edification (12 July 2024)

Hello sisters!

Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Ephesians 1:2-4

I'm back again to share more edifying with you in His name! I hope you're doing well in the Lord and pressing through various trials on this earth, small or large!

Remember this sisters!

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
James 1:2-3

And we all have so very many blessings don't we! He is our portion and indeed we are truly rich in Him!

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:7
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Ephesians 3:8

Let us press on with thankfulness!

I was pondering on the spirit of meekness.

What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
1 Corinthians 4:21
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Galatians 6:1

We know meekness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit...

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

We know our Saviour had it...

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:29
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
2 Corinthians 10:1

We are to receive the Word with meekness...

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:21-22

It is something we are to 'put on'..

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Colossians 3:12

It is to be in those teaching others (would surely include in older women teaching the younger as in Titus 2)...

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2 Timothy 2:24-25

It is to be shown to all people...

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:2

Furthermore we know us women are specifically told it is of great price to God in us...

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1 Peter 3:4

We are to give an answer to our hope with it...

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15

And those who have it will inherit the earth...

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5

So what does it look like? Good to ponder isn't it and make sure we have it...imitating our Saviour!

There's so many different aspects to what our character should be. Very detailed what God has told us indeed and I'm thankful to know what pleases Him! Let us put on meekness and do things in the spirit of meekness for His glory.

I've been having busy fruitful days here. Mostly garden and animal works along with the usual Titus 2 ones and online ministry works of messaging and emailing women and sisters. Short winter's days here so it seems they end sooner but that's good too as times and seasons for all things! I hope all is well with you and you're strong and courageous and determined in the faith!

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13

Hold fast my sisters and keep walking in meekness and all other ways of truth and light for His glory!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14

Unfeigned love in the Spirit,

Sister Chayil
