Today's Edification (4 June 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are all striving on today! I am. We have a worthy Saviour, our great God of hope and grace to follow after with all that we are! Let us keep our eyes and focus on Him and keep learning of Him in His Word which we are so blessed to have and which we want to handle carefully. It's His truth not ours.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1 Peter 5:10
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2 Corinthians 1:3

Another day and we are not consumed like we deserve...because His compassion fail not! Let that give us great hope to press on after Him, drawing near to Him.

When I was typing in the date in my post title I accidentally typed 2924. And that made me really wonder if the world would even last that long and filled me with a little fear and awe of Him that only He knows. His coming draws nearer sisters. Are we ready? We don't even know what each day may bring forth. If this world lasts that long...I'm sure it will be so unimaginably wicked and dark and violent, ripe for destruction by fire. But I guess I doubt it will but we don't know for sure but we are to be watching for the signs and occupying until He comes.

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Mark 13:32-37

I've had a day of just getting resettled or something but I got some sewing started and some garden work in.

I don't want my posts to be all about what I do though. I share some sometimes to encourage you godly sisters too because we all have much the same all over the world and all we do glorifies Him. But we do things unto the Lord don't we! I want my post to be mostly encouragement from the Word and some thoughts and yes how that applies to my life and glimpses of it as I love seeing peeks into my sisters lives too!

This is just an audio I would call 'garden ramblings'. Just talking to my sisters with bits and pieces while I worked in the garden.

Correction from my post yesterday. I said it was the Thessalonians that were noble in searching the scriptures but of course it was those at Berea. I was just thinking about the Word and about studying and thought hey I said that wrong yesterday! Maybe the Lord can bring that to mind:-) But anyway maybe you picked it up too. And that will always be something we humans do frequently...make mistakes but His Word is never wrong! He is infallible! Oh yes we have the translation to try to make sure is the most accurate but we just do our best and God knows all things! He is the Saviour to save us!

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1 Corinthians 10:11

I was listening to that scripture yesterday and it just really sets everything straight that sin and disobedience still matters. God is warning us how He killed people in the wilderness for sin and how it's an example to us to take heed and not repeat the same things today. I'm thankful for His Word. Of course we know there is a huge difference in the covenants old to new but sin still separates us from God.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1 Corinthians 11:29-31

That's some serious warning right there. Let us be diligent to cast off sin.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Romans 13:12-14

Keep pressing on after Him sisters! I pray that we all strive on and if you're in my past I still care about you and hope you overcome and grow in the Lord. I hope I can help you even a little bit to press on. I want to help hold your arms up in this fight of faith!

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Hebrews 12:12-13

Much love in Christ our Lord,

Sister Chayil
