Today's Edification (18 April 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope this finds you pressing on in the Lord and walking in His truth.

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Psalm 86:11

For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Psalm 26:3

And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
Isaiah 38:3

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

I was pondering the concept of blameless that we are to be. So I share some scriptures on it...

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14

And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
1 Timothy 5:7

Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
1 Thessalonians 2:10

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:27

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Ephesians 1:4

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:14-15

There's also scriptures on being perfect (complete) so we get the picture that we have a very high and holy calling to strive to live up to with His help don't we sisters!

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2 Timothy 1:9

Strive on sisters...as will I here. Our God is holy.

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Isaiah 6:3

I bought my sewing shop along for my time at the children's this time just in case I needed to ship anything out and I did already...

Just trying to do the best I can in what I can. So the gospel goes out again and I'm thankful for what I can do in that area too! Let us be thankful and content in all we can do and that we aren't shut in a prison somewhere for the faith. But we'd do all we can there too! So it's all good in Him!
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
2 Corinthians 8:12

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
Philippians 4:10

She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Mark 14:8

Let us do what we can also with the opportunities He does give! I know He will not judge us for opportunities we didn't have.

And this is encouraging too..

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Mark 12:41-44

This too...

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Luke 16:10

Keep being faithful sisters in what you have and know to do!

Cosy cold mornings for the fire here as winter approaches...

Cute, you can see the little 5 month old sitting up there in the reflection. He was quite a way off sitting up when I left a few weeks ago so I was surprised he was good at it now! They can grow so fast! He doesn't crawl yet...just gradually moves backwards across the floor:-)

Keep striving on, seeking His kingdom and righteousness first, sisters!

Grace, mercy & peace in Christ,

Sister Chayil
