Today's Encouragement (5 January 2023)

Hello sisters!

Here's a new day and I'm back again! Some things in this life are very regular like the sun coming up and going down and the cycles of the months and years. And the rivers run into the sea and then return again! But we sisters can strive to be consistent in everything that's good too! And that may include daily edifying each other. The Lord allowed me time, health, and the technology to drop back in here to share some edification!

I was thinking about these scriptures and how the so called Christian world is in such a mess that it is. They have not obeyed these scriptures and been diligent. But we sisters want to hold fast to sound doctrine and not waver etc. And we need to know His Word and not be tossed to and fro from this doctrine to that.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:2-3

This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

Titus 1:13

I don't see anything there about agreeing to disagree and just all getting along. We sisters have to stand for the faith once delivered and the doctrines and traditions Paul delivered unto us by the Spirit. And we know there's many for women too! We're so blessed to know them and also have the mystery of the gospel revealed clearly to us today!

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Ephesians 6:19

Was sewing another gospel bag today...

And hope to add some to my shop soon. Great for going on shopping trips when you need your hands to do other work but then the cards are really easily accessible...which is essential when you're on the go!

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:15

Several of us sisters and I are talking about how we need to be prepared always and as we know the purpose of the body is also for training up the saints for ministry work. So we have work to do...we don't just sit around and have a good time hanging out. It's wonderful to share daily life and love and care for sure but we have to get up and get going too, stepping out of our comfort zone in order to grow and be stretched for the Lord and His work.

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

Luke 10:2-3

And we know God used women in the Bible a lot to be His workers...in our godly submissive roles of course.

Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

Romans 16:12

Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

Romans 16:3-4

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Luke 2:38

Let us follow the Lord and also be like our faithful sisters of old!

Thank you sister for sharing the scripture picture gifts...

What a great Creator we have!

It's true, godly love is to be a sign of His true disciples. As a brother often says, most of the times the word love is used in the NT is the love between believers. And I'm blessed to be a part of that godly love giving and receiving it.

Well that's all for now. Hold fast sisters and don't grow weary in well doing!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
