Greetings in love to my sisters who love the Lord with me!
Hope you are all seeking Him first today!
I was thinking about how good and merciful our God is to offer great rewards to us humans who sinned against Him. We know we deserve death and hell. Every single one of us. But...instead God gave us hope! Isn't He so gracious and loving! He sent His beloved Son to rescue us from our sins and set us free! And we see that hope and strive hard after our Saviour to enter that narrow way of salvation. And we get to be God's children and have that blessed hope to come in eternity with Him! And of course that offer of hope is shown to all but only will be completed in those who are born of His Spirit and endure to the end. Let us take this seriously and in thankfulness follow after Christ who alone is worthy. If we miss this way and sin against Him then our reward will be what we deserve of eternal destruction under God's wrath. Let us heed the gospel and strive to enter and love God above all else.
So I have a collection of scriptures to encourage us to be thankful and give God the glory and praise for all He has done for us.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Matthew 5:11-12
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:6
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 16:27
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
1 Corinthians 3:8-9
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:35-36
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Revelation 11:18
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:12
Amen!
And I hope those encouraged you! What a great God we have to give us eternal precious treasures! Let us press on in the duties we have today and be faithful unto death!
