Today's Edification (30 April 2026)

Hello sisters!

Hopefully you are keeping the faith wherever the Lord has you and being faithful in your duties. It's a blessing when we have useful works to occupy in as we sojourn on this earth for a short time.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
Luke 19:13

It's also the end of another month the Lord brought us through. Time for a picture catch up post then too! The days are going by fast, the months are going by steadily, and the years no doubt too, so our life will be short as well. Let us be redeeming it in good things, sisters.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Psalm 90:12

Lots going on in the garden still. It's a blessing to have and to be able to grow things as the Lord allows. Warmer weather came back again so the summer crops had a little more time to keep producing.

The soil is so important for growing healthy plants. I'm still learning a lot. It's a lot of work but rewarding too!
It's quite poor soil here and it repels water so it needs a lot of organic matter and mulch etc to help things to be able to grow properly.

And indeed the hearts of man are likened to soil in how they hear the truth.
And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
Mark 4:8
May we be among those hearing and bearing fruit!

Just satisfying seeing growing things and good food harvested!

I made a batch of sauerkraut for the first time. It's supposed to be really healthy so I appreciate being able to. It's very simple really. Maybe I will share a recipe here one day.

Oven dried some grapes we were given.

Been a fair amount of house renovations going on with new floors in a lot of rooms. So very chaotic around here.

Got to do some painting too.

But the room I sew in is much better with old carpet gone, and I'm thankful! I haven't done any sewing lately so maybe I can again soon. Times and seasons for different things in life.

Morning light of a day of His new mercies and daily bread. We have much to be thankful for!

Thankful for physical food the Lord is providing. I would share with the saints if I could.

But I can share the spiritual bread of the Word. And that is most important and what we live by.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Luke 4:4

So you too sisters, keep going in all your duties right where the Lord has you! We are to do all things as unto the Lord. He sees and we want to please Him. So let's see what another month has in it when I will post more pictures at the end, Lord willing. We don't know but our Lord does and we look to Him in faith and trust.

Love unto you in Christ our Saviour.
