Hello again sisters!
Hope you're doing well and standing strong in the truth. I'm dropping in again on a busy and hot day here. God's mercies and faithfulness are around us yet again.
This is an interesting scripture to ponder.
This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
Ecclesiastes 9:13-18
It seems to go along with us as women and how we are to also have meek and quiet spirits. And of course to be truly wise, we fear the Lord.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.Proverbs 31:26-27
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.Proverbs 14:1
That scripture reminds me of our call to edify (build up) others in the faith today.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.Romans 14:19
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.Ephesians 4:29
So may we continue to live out our faith in Christ and all His good ways. Hold fast in an evil generation sisters!
