Hello again sisters!
It's another day to drop in to share in the Lord here! I hope you're doing well physically and spiritually more importantly. One day we can be set free from all the trials of this life though, if we abide faithful to Him and can be with Him in His kingdom.
This is a good scripture to ponder on...
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:4-11
There's a lot in there for which I am thankful for! I was just thinking about the whole picture of what saints should be like and definitely humility, meekness, peacefulness, gentleness, love, kindness and so much more come to mind. The Lord help us to be all He has for us to be.
And yes we know we have spiritual battles to fight which we must overcome with faith!
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.1 John 5:4
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:10-18
Keep fighting the good fight of faith sisters! The Lord help us be strong and stand faithful to His truth and ways.
