Today's Edification (15 December 2024)

Greetings sister saints around the world!

I hope you're doing well in the faith wherever you are! The Lord be glorified in us His daughters who are not our own but purchased with a price and are His handmaidens and He is our Master. He is a good Master!

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

John 13:13-17

Always such a perfect example for us to model.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Philippians 2:5-7

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

 Matthew 20:25-28

May we be encouraged to keep serving first the Lord and also those in our lives in ways that we can and that are good and godly! We do not want to be selfish and live for ourselves.

I was pondering how it's good to take stock of what we spend our time on each day. It is good to examine our lives and see if we can redeem the time better or not. And that is all within the  confines of the calling God has given us. We each have different lives. We just need to be faithful with what we do have! May we focus on what's around us how we can do our best with the gifts and abilities the Lord has given us and not be comparing one with another either but seeking after His good ways to walk and grow in!

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Romans 12:3-8

I'm posting this a bit earlier as I have travel to the children's yet today. Just had to wait for it to cool down a bit as it was a really hot day. So I will be really busy for a few days it looks like but will drop in here to edify you the best I can if He wills! His Word is always there to share and I really want to love and use it more and more because you see just how far astray man's ways have led and you know you have to stay close to the Lord in these last days especially, yet we always need to. He warned us not to be deceived. He is our source of truth and our Lord and God and the only way to eternal life is through His Son who is the truth!

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
Luke 21:8

For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Romans 11:21

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luke 21:34

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Luke 12:15

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 7:15

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
2 Peter 3:17

Take heed. Beware. Be not deceived. Amen let us hear the words of our Lord and Master.

Love to you sisters. Keep on holding fast and may we not be troubled but be of good cheer as our Saviour has overcome the world!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
