Salutations to my godly sisters!
I am back to edify you again in the Lord and His pure truth today! I hope you're all doing well and striving on stedfastly in the faith! We each have to be very strong in the faith to stand in this evil world. I encourage you to keep doing that sisters and to lay aside anything that you know makes you weak and it's something you have control over. There's much we cannot control in this world but we can do what we can to make sure we are not stumbled by things we can actually avoid or change.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hebrews 12:1-3
A good scripture to not only just skim read and think we know what it says as we've seen it so much but slow down and ponder through it! Once again it is our Saviour we should be looking to! May we consider Him and all that we have been told about Him in His Word! I'm so thankful for all the accounts God gave us of His Son!
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 20:30-31
God is good!
These scriptures came to mind about walking circumspectly and with wisdom.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15-17
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.Colossians 4:5-6
As in the parable of the wheat and the tares, we are among the world which vastly outnumbers God's people of course but we have to walk wisely and carefully while we are here. Just good to ponder.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.Matthew 10:16
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;Philippians 2:15
Yes we are in the midst of it but not a part of it's ways and sins.
Precious words of prayer from our Saviour...
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 17:14-17
Amen. May the truth sanctify us as we cleave to it. May the Lord keep us from evil, sisters.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.2 Thessalonians 3:3
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 91:1-2
Here's the next two chapters in Ecclesiastes to edify...
Thought this was interesting...
There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
Ecclesiastes 9:14-18
There's some very profound statements in Solomon's writings through the wisdom God gave to him. So much about wisdom too! Good to ponder on what wisdom actually is too and it would be a huge study in itself!
It is something we godly women want to have...
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.Proverbs 31:26
I think that's all for today sisters! Lord willing I will be back here sharing with you tomorrow!
I thank my God for my few faithful dear sisters I know. God is good. May we follow hard after Him! Love to you in Christ Jesus.
Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.Ephesians 6:23-24
