Today's Edification (5 September 2024)

Greetings sister saints!

Here I am again, dropping in to edify you with the Word. I hope you're pressing on wherever you are and whatever is going on!

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:19

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:29-30

His Word is always edifying in itself! It builds up those seeking the Lord and the truth and tears down any false ways or sins. We cultivate the good in our lives and we also can in other saints we know. Or even anybody. Not that doing good will save anyone if they don't have a changed heart and true faith in Christ, having lost their lives for Him, but good is always to be encouraged. And the bad we fight against in our own lives and we stand for the Lord's ways and don't support it in those around us either though we can only share the truth of the gospel with them that they need to repent we shouldn't 'moralize' people so to speak as they need the changed heart first! Can't just deal with the outsides when the insides aren't renewed by the Lord's work and a willing surrendered heart.

I'm having some extra busy days helping here as there's still sick children around and I'm still dealing with some ends of the cold myself but that's good to keep going in whatever is needed at the time and there's times and seasons where it's super busy, just busy, or times of some quiet (maybe:). This whole life we live is short and like a vapor it will soon be gone. And eternity will be upon us. Let us be prepared for this sisters. And pressing through all things and obeying our Lord no matter what!

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3

It's good to remember that obeying Him is just our reasonable service and duty and we are called to serve so let us trust in the Lord and wait upon Him to give us all we need to do this all!

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22

Keep pressing on my sisters! Grow not weary in well doing!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
