Today's Edification (9 July 2024)

Greetings my sisters!

I hope you are all pressing on in the Lord and in your good works in front of you! Our Lord is worthy and He is our good Master!

Good to remember the very hard working Proverbs 31 woman as she is encouraging to us and we too want to be such virtuous/strong women of God! God created women to help and we know Jesus said the greatest is to serve.

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

Proverbs 31:13-19

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

We know idleness is never something spoken well of in the Word.

Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Proverbs 19:15

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Proverbs 6:6

By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
Ecclesiastes 10:18

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Ezekiel 16:49

He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
Proverbs 18:9

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Romans 12:11

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
1 Timothy 5:13

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
Proverbs 20:4

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Hebrews 6:12

Let us continue to do the work that is in front of us...being diligent just as we also need to be in our spiritual lives. We can't be slothful spiritually either as some of those scriptures speak of. We cannot be lukewarm or lose our first love and zeal for Him. We know it is a race and a battle and Jesus said to strive/fight to enter as many would try but few would be able to make it.

Here's a bit of catching up from the last few days.

Peaceful creations in passing when I had to go post something...

Carrot thinning time...
Tedious but necessary work.

Always nice seeing things growing bigger...

Just that cycle of life from a tiny seed to food for mankind and potentially more seeds and then dying.

Almost done on ripping up pumpkin and tomato vines...

They had finished what God made them to do! And so too one day our earthly bodies shall be the same...returning to dust.

Satisfying seeing a cleared garden bed...

Now the weeds can come up:-)

Animal works to do too.

Funny the calf is the same size as the lambs:-)

Pumpkin using up continues...

And I was freezing a bit too. Just the steamed and pureed pumpkin. We just do what we can don't we sisters. So I've been keeping busy in a variety of things and I'm sure you sisters have too. Keep going in them as it is pleasing to the Lord who created us!

Hold fast in the faith and keep being zealous to edify each other however you can! Lord willing I will be back tomorrow to do that!

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
1 Corinthians 14:12

Love, mercy, and peace in Christ,

Sister Chayil
