Greetings sisters!
Another day God gave! It's a new day of His mercies! A fresh new start. Yesterday is gone and today is here as the only day we have as tomorrow may not be for us. So let's redeem the time for the Lord in all good things for He is worthy and we have been called to be faithful!
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.Colossians 4:5
Sometimes you find yourself remembering the things you used to do which were NOT redeeming the time (let alone sinful in other ways). And they look so foolish now. Kind of makes me think, for an illustration, a grown person spending their life playing with baby toys or something. Foolish. That's honestly what it's kind of like. Humans that have been made in His image to serve Him and have a high calling and an invitation to the Lamb's marriage supper in heaven, fooling around with satan's and the world's temptations which are vanity. But we were all there once. Deceived and ignorant.
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Ephesians 2:2-3
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.1 Corinthians 6:11
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
1 Peter 4:2-4
The Word always speaks of a major life change for His people! That is true belief and repentance to obedience and the new birth via the Spirit and enduring to everlasting life!
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24
We are so blessed to know all we do of the truth today...
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Luke 10:21-24
Let us remain in the truth and be very diligent in searching it out in this age of great deception. The Lord help us! Without Him we can do nothing.
