Today's Edification (12 May 2024)

Greetings sisters!

Another good day to serve the Lord! I hope you're striving on stedfastly! He is worthy!

Let us draw near to God...

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
Psalm 73:28

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:22

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
James 4:8

He is good and cares for those who are His sheep who love and follow Him knowing how much they need Him.

Now here's a lesson on super corrupt Bible translations in women's areas. These belong in the fire along with every other false book, or shredded and recycled or trashed if you can't do that (but hard to do with electronic copies...just must be completely avoided for truth like any other corrupt thing online.).

Look how they blatantly add to the Word and twist it? Mature women can be teachers in the church now? "Yea, hath God said?" comes to mind.

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Genesis 3:1-4

Here's what it really simply says...

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1 Timothy 2:11-12

And here's
 more corruption...

The truth here...

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35

This is just to warn you that just because something is called a 'Bible' doesn't mean it is good! But I'm sure you know that but just sharing how corrupt they're getting. And there's obviously ones which aren't so obviously corrupt but they still are. Whenever you get away from an as literal translation as you can then opinions creep or flood in. I do believe there is no 100% perfect translation as man is involved but we try to study a good one (like KJV) and be aware of any areas of real issue. And I do believe the Lord will have to have mercy on us if there's anything we have been slightly misled by the translation itself but really we clearly see the path to eternal life. Christ is our salvation so let's keep looking to Him and striving to obey His pure Word best we can!

But anyway on the subject of women's roles I've been pondering it more. We know it is a majorly abused area.

We read in 1 Peter 3 about a godly wife winning her disobedient husband by her chaste behaviour, submission to him, and fear, without the word. It doesn't exactly specify if he's an unbeliever or a disobedient saint but seems to me to point to an unbeliever (who doesn't believe in the Word/Jesus) if you look up the word 'obey not' in the Greek.

Reminds me of this scripture...

For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
1 Corinthians 7:16

It's like, if he doesn't believe then he will see the godly wife's fear, submission, and holy life lived out in action. It's a big job to win without the Word (which someone doesn't believe in even)! Obviously her focus is obedience to the Lord but that's going to be her witness and light if a sister is in that circumstance.

But would this not also apply to how women in general are to 'win' men? Some men are other women's husbands so that doesn't give women any more right to have authority over them than their own wife does. Of course it's different but still good to ponder the similarities.

Think of what it is. Just as a brother doesn't teach another man's wife so much less should a woman not be teaching or correcting or having authority over another woman's husband or any man. I'm not thinking a sister can't ever talk to men, or tell them about Jesus (like Anna and the woman at the well), or give an answer to the reason of her hope or give them a Bible and encourage them to read it and give her testimony of what she learned and briefly share the path to eternal life but I don't believe a woman should be giving commands or correction to a man. This is an authoritative role. We see it all over the internet and in the world.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3

It is out of our place to rebuke/correct or teach a man. But some do it under the name of Christ and His gospel and actually are usurping authority. We know our place in the body gathering of being silent too and still the command applies to not be teaching or having authority over men.

We know it doesn't matter if we think good will come from something (pragmatism). The corrupt church does that all the time using questionable means to supposedly win people to Christ. I know of sinful things that good has come from yes but that doesn't mean we do them as we obey God and He is in control. He can bring good from evil not us!

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1 Peter 3:4

I know it may seem easy for me to say this because I am not in the path of men all the time. If any sisters were, or their husbands were in the ministry of preaching the gospel I'm sure they would need a lot of self control and discernment to obey the truth and remain in her place. We all have different callings but still many of the same principles apply. And we don't want to be on the internet talking theology with men or talking with any man we don't know or don't have a good reason for talking to. Social media is full of this break down of roles and the whole world including so called believers but hopefully it isn't among God's true daughters. Obviously we all keep testing and growing. For sure, test everything I say as well! I'm just trying to be a godly woman submitted to the Lord's commands for me and encourage my sisters to as well!

Of course we want all to come to repentance just as God does and the reality of where people are heading is sad. But reality is we can do very little about it because so few come. We can share the truth but it has to be what they desire and a work of God in their heart. I know if people know more truth it is more likely to their greater condemnation too. So just in that fact it's a serious thing as well that we want to be in our place in and get right. That's sad most will perish but...God's glory and kingdom and righteousness come first. We cannot lament over those who hate God in reality even if they say "Lord Lord" and say they love Him.

It's actually interesting studying John 4 and Jesus' interaction with the woman. He told her some truth. After she asked about receiving the living water He told her to go get her husband.

Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

And she obeyed His command (after being given some more truth)...

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

And they came to Jesus themselves to learn...

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

John 4:16, 28-29,36

We too can share the Source of truth for all to go to to be filled with living water! Jesus is the truth and all must come to Him and through Him! If people have the Word and a willing heart they have more than enough truth to find the Way with the Spirit! So much deception in this world but the Lord can keep His own if they stay close to Him.

Keep focusing on living godly lives sisters...whether you're married or not. Let us first of all address our own actions and from that our light will shine as we obey and fulfil our roles the Lord commands us to have! We sisters have a high calling for sure and let's work on pleasing our heavenly Father as His daughters. We don't want to be like Eve. And we know because of her one sin things have changed for us as women. One sin can have major consequences indeed.

A sister and I got to talk again and it's always encouraging and joyous! Brother Paul was often refreshed by the saints and so it's nothing new and perhaps even more refreshing with so few in these last days. One thing we talked about is how we have no reason whatsoever to be unthankful in anything and how we deal with something if it's hard or we don't care for it. It's just a mindset and doesn't take us long to remember how very much we have in Christ! We have so many blessings! (We must silence any unthankfulness or grumbling no matter how small in our hearts. Hopefully it hasn't gotten to our words yet but if it has, it must be stopped!)

So I wanted to share some scriptures on being thankful and thanksgiving...

Hope those encourage you as to what the Lord's will is for us!

I love this scripture...

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18

No matter what happens in our lives...we can rejoice in the Lord!

Chopped up some green pumpkins for the cows...

I know you can eat them but we're not going to be able to get through the ripe ones probably anyway and the cows are hungry too! Well only one seems to like them so she gets them all mostly.

A really nice sight, healthy growing plants in the sunshine...

Yeah they may seem too small to bother about but they're weeds that will be ten times as big in a week so it's good to get them when they're small if possible...

We don't want to be choked by 'weeds' either...

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Matthew 13:22

Peach tree going to rest for the winter...

Thought you might like some peaceful water sounds as a thirsty orange tree gets a drink...

Water is so essential for life. Amazing creation it is.

I'd make you a cool sweetened lemon drink after your work if I could sisters...

Good refreshing blessings.

I think I have travel to the children's again tomorrow. We just keep doing what's in front of us right sisters!

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:38-39

I love that...the promise is to all that are afar off! I'm sure that's us! Praise God for that hope!

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
John 17:20

But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:35

Press on in hope, rejoicing in it, sisters! The Lord be praised and magnified!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
