Today's Edification (9 March 2024)

Salutations to my godly sisters!

I hope you're all striving on and not being confounded or discouraged by anything! We sisters may have a lot of this to do...

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
Luke 2:19

Let us love the Lord our God with all we are!

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
Deuteronomy 10:12-13

Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.
Joshua 23:11

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
John 14:23-24

And from our love for Him will come our love for others...the world, the believers, and our enemies. Remember that sisters. When we are doing something like feeding our enemies...that is because we love God. If we have to deal with each other and work through any problems...that is because we love God. If we labour diligently in Titus 2 works...that is because we love Him and on and on. Let us not forget why we are doing all we do! It is all our reasonable service and duty. May that encourage us to keep pressing on with joy! We love to be His servants!

It's all about Him...

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:27-31

Glory in Him! He is wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption!

Let His Word edify and encourage us in these perilous times. It is rock solid!

I made another audio on the gospel as I want to keep my sword as sharp as possible in that as I don't get a whole lot of practice at sharing it verbally. Of course we sisters should talk about it amongst ourselves too as we are living it and need it daily!

We know we can't remember everything at once. We are human. And some of us may be gifted with better memory than others but I am one that isn't! But that's ok...I'm thankful for all the blessings I do have! I don't want to reply against God saying, "Why hast though made me thus?". Let's keep feeding on His Word and bringing it to remembrance!

Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
2 Timothy 2:8

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:17

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1 Corinthians 11:24

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
1 Timothy 4:6

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
2 Timothy 2:14

Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
2 Peter 1:12-13

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation 3:3

Praise God He doesn't 'throw us to the kerb' so to speak when we fail or forget something! Let us cling to Him and trust in Him! He is so full of mercy for those who fear Him!

I love this what Jesus said...

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

John 8:10-11

Let us go...sin no more and know we are not condemned!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1

I have been pondering on the concept of forgiveness for awhile and how it's like repentance. It's not just a word we throw at people but it must have action behind it. And it's also not once done, always done. We must remain in a constant state of forgiveness and not slip into unforgiveness or bitterness. Again...it's a high calling we have amen?!

I love that word 'exhort' in scriptures and how it is 'a calling near'. Reminds me of a loving parent calling their child and talking to them to explain things better to them. It is not a casting off is it!

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Let us do that exhorting to those who love Him...so much the more as we see the day approaching!

And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
2 Thessalonians 3:14-15

And we have admonishing to do too! Of course within the ways we can as godly women.

I sometimes think of Esther...how she bravely went in to talk to the king and was resigned to the fact of possibly perishing for doing it. And sometimes we too have to take stands that are hard, for the good of others.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

This is the true God sisters...

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Psalm 103:8-14

He is so merciful and forgiving.

Pretty clouds on a super hot day here....

I had a lot of helping work to do...

(calico curtains)

My dehydrating things are done...

Good blessings! Intriguing turning some juicy things into dry things.

Pretty dinnertime view...

I have a cleaning job and travel to the children's again planned for tomorrow...if the Lord wills. It will be a hot trip! But I plan to be back here after that all and share however I can! I had better go and pack and finish up my day.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8

Fight on soldiers! Worthy is the Lamb! Look to Him and not humans!

Love in Christ,
