Today's Edification (14 March 2024)

Saluting my sisters who love the truth!

All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

Titus 3:15

Here's another new day and it's always a good one to serve the Lord our God! The sun keeps coming up and going down and life as humans know it on this earth goes on...until the Lord returns!

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.

Psalm 113:3

Amen and His mercies are new every morning! Great is HIS faithfulness!

Pondering and sharing many scriptures today. And more kept coming and coming throughout my day! Let His Word flow and feed us all and wash us!

I was pondering rest for the weary. We know God is our rest and refuge!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1

There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.

Job 3:17

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 61:1-2

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Isaiah 28:12

I was also pondering how we should only fear God (Yes so many do not fear Him today. But we shouldn't fear man or any circumstance...well try hard not to at least!).

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 10:28

The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Psalm 118:6

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Proverbs 29:25

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Hebrews 13:5-6

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Psalm 34:4-6

Let us more and more draw near to God in humility and He will lift us up!

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:6

His grace is sufficient!

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

His Word is good and always washes us and strengthens us!

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 5:26-27

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

Psalm 138:3

And the joy of the Lord is our strength!

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Be an example...let's strive to be that in all those areas! And that would include these...

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:21

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Philippians 2:1-2

Those are God's perfect and good ways among His saints which are so rare to find today! Let us strive to be blameless in these areas and every other one.

These are more scriptures that came to mind...

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

2 Samuel 12:14

The serious consequences of sin...the enemies of God blasheming. Let us watch our steps for His glory.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2 Peter 2:2

The way of truth may be evil spoken of by people's actions, myself included which is why I want to walk very circumspectly. Good to ponder.

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

Ecclesiastes 10:1

Such a picture. His Word describes all we see in this life doesn't it. Nothing new under the sun. We do not want any folly in us who fear the Lord which is where we get our wisdom from.

Let us not forget how much of a spiritual battle we are in. And we can only do battle and hope to overcome in the Word and Spirit and trusting in the One who conquered the enemy and will finally cast him into the lake of fire and all his angels and deceitful workers.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:10

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

Matthew 10:24-26

Yeah we are no greater than our Master. They thought He was of satan. If people think we might be too...we are in good company. Yes again as it says...fear them not! All this teaches us to cling to the Lord doesn't it sisters.

Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

1 Peter 3:16-17

Let us keep going in well doing no matter what comes at us that could stumble us! Be rocks in the Lord, sisters! Doing His will.

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Psalm 119:115

Let us look to Him...

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Hebrews 13:8

And not to any human.

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Psalm 108:12

Next Matthew reading here to edify you in the Word even more! (And you can find all my previous scripture readings here for more of His Word. I sure will be spending more time listening to His Word...even if I have to listen to myself. His Word is good!)

Let us dwell more and more in His precious Word in these perilous times! I almost can't believe how perilous the times are or how deep deception can be. Sometimes it leaves me shaking my head. Come soon Lord Jesus! Yet there is nothing new under the sun. The heart of man is wicked. Think of the earth destroyed in Noah's day for violence...violence and injustice of all types. Our Saviour sure suffered many different forms of violence. Yet He opened not His mouth. There is a time to speak and a time to keep silence. If we suffer for Him...we are in good company!

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Hebrews 12:3-4

Consider Him sisters. He suffered for us. Thank the Lord for trials, sisters. They purify and purge us and help us come forth as gold! They help us dig deep in the Word and that is always a good thing.

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.

Ecclesiastes 7:4

While we should rejoice in all things...and I strive to...some things also make you both righteously angry and grieved. But let's remember our Lord who sees everyone at once and all the sin and treachery of this dark world. I couldn't begin to bear that all. The little we see is enough. I'm thankful He is going to deal with it all. It's too big for me. We want none to perish but God is just.

May we rest in His peace knowing all is in His control. Underneath are the everlasting arms. That is trust...just letting go and surrendering and submitting to Him and being poor in spirit. He sees and knows and will be the just Judge one day. Let's not let anything anyone says or does to us stumble us and steal peace and joy.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Psalm 131:1

We are so puny compared to Him. Let us remember our place.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 10:29

What great hope sisters! No man can pluck us out of His hand! (except we know we can turn away or be lost in willful sin.)

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

What hope.

The Lord comforts us with His Word! I had a lot to share today sisters:-) Hope they encourage you too! Hold fast to Christ who is the Word made flesh!

Here are some evening edifying thoughts from the Word for you also...

Wait on God sisters. One day all will be made right. Everything will be revealed. Injustices made right. Sorrow and pain gone. Motives of hearts revealed. Everything laid bare. Impure works burned up. Souls sent into the lake of fire. Souls received into His kingdom. Let us prepare to meet our God. Until then...wait on Him and do all to stand!

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Strive on and overcome sisters!

Godly love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
