Today's Edification (20 February 2024)

Greetings beloved sisters who love the Lord!

I hope you are pressing on with your heart and mind on things above! Yet we have so many different circumstances to deal with here though and that is our reasonable service! May we do our best in each situation for His glory! We know we cannot neglect all our physical duties here.

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

James 1:2

Let us actually rejoice when divers trials come upon us! We sure may have a wide variety of trials in this faith life! Learning to rejoice in them is something that will come with maturity in the faith as we have our hearts fixed on the Lord and the life to come. Doesn't mean we won't be sorrowful and even cry at times and that's ok and good too but there is still joy in Him within that! No matter what...it's all about Him! He is our joy and strength!

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts 14:22

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Acts 16:25

We know the Spirit gives us joy! The Lord is our hope!

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Let us take our burdens to the Lord as He cares as a loving Father! All things work for good if we love Him!

I appreciate the meaning of tribulation...'pressure'. It's always a great test to see if we will walk in the Spirit and not the flesh. We can expect much pressure in our lives ahead...but let us trust in the Lord! We know it is a strait gate and narrow road to walk after Christ! And we must endure to be saved! But it's all worth it and He is worthy!

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Luke 13:24

The early saints in the Bible sure were constantly about the things of God and you can never get too much edifying! We know heaven also will not be a fleshly heaven but all about God and His glory!

And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Acts 5:42

Matthew 11 reading here...

And some scriptures on 'one' here...

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

2 Corinthians  5:9-11

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 11:22

Let us wisely remember the Lord's severity...and remain in His goodness.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:9-10

Keep pressing on sister soldiers! Our reward...for all eternity...is to come if we get through this battlefield victoriously!

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Romans 8:37

Fight on my sisters!

Love in Christ always,

Sister Chayil
