Today's Edification (14 February 2024)

Greetings sisters!

It's another good day to serve the Lord, amen?!

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Joshua 24:15

Amen, we will serve the Lord too!

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psalm 2:11

This life involves constant work and adjustments to keep us walking in the Spirit and not the flesh.

I was thinking how destructive we women could be if we let our flesh rule. Yes we can fall on occasions but praise God for His ways to guide us and keep us in check as we meekly submit to them. We see what's going on in the world of what happens when the flesh is allowed to rule.

We want to build up and restore and not tear down. Except we can tear down the works of satan and the flesh with great zeal!

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Ephesians 4:29

I love thinking of edifying...building one another up!

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

Proverbs 14:1

I read some scriptures on edifying to edify us!

His Word is always good and strengthening!

In these last days with so few godly saints all scattered...any communication and online sharing is such a treasured thing! If we were in jail and only ocassionally heard word of others striving on it would be extra great joy! God is good to let us be encouraged by hearing of a few faithful saints striving on in this dark wicked world.

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 3:6-8

Whatever we have or don't have in this life...one thing we know is that God is a Spirit and no matter where we go He is always with us if we are staying close to Him! What great hope we have! We don't need to go to any particular place, we don't have to have tons of money to find Him (well we don't have to have any of course!), we don't have to be high and mighty to get closer to Him...no! We have to be contrite and poor in spirit, fearing Him, bringing nothing of our own but a willing heart to obey Him!

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 57:15

Holiness is so beautiful and precious.

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Psalm 96:9

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Colossians 3:12-13

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Hebrews 7:26

Let's keep being holy and pure sisters...for His glory!

We can find ourselves being buried under things...but we need to go to the Lord to help us!

Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

Psalm 30:10

He is so good to us to help such creatures of the dust such as we are although He is such a high and holy God. He cares.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:7

Matthew 8 reading here...

Satisfying to get four shirts finished...

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Genesis 3:21

Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Genesis 3:18

And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

John 19:2,5

Christ came into this fallen world, which is cursed because of sin and suffered greatly at man's hands and became a curse for us on the tree. God is so merciful to us. One day there is great things for those who overcome...

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Revelation 22:3-4

No more curse one day sisters! Much destruction on this earth because of sin now. But there is hope by abiding in Christ!

And if you're struggling with health issues, sisters...one day there shall also be no more pain or tiredness!

In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

2 Corinthians 11:27

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

1 Corinthians 15:43

Press on as good soldiers, sisters, enduring hardness! It will be worth it all! Strive on after Christ and the truth! Keep working while it's day and fighting the good fight so we may be worthy of hearing these words one day perhaps...

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 25:23

A holy hug to my sisters who love the Lord and are holy.

Peace & joy in Christ,

Sister Chayil
