Today's Edification (11 February 2024)

Greetings beloved sisters who are obedient to the Lord and walking in all truth!

I hope you are strong in Him today. If not, I'm here to help cheer you on to keep going on the narrow road and striving!

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Isaiah 35:4

And also remind us all that it is normal and good to have battles in this faith race! It means we are fighting!

And if there's anyone seeking who's reading this and who knows they are not in all truth or where they need to be, to be ready to meet God and stand before the judgement seat...I hope you repent and take it all with urgency. I am here to help if you have any questions about the gospel or women's subjects.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Hebrews 3:12-15

I was thinking about storms...and particularly about Jesus and His disciples in storms on the lake. We can take lessons from this. This whole life in Christ with the sufferings and persecutions and being strangers and pilgrims here can be likened to a life-long storm. Others may come and go within it, lasting hours or days or months and then they're gone. We do not want to be faithless and fearful!

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:26

Fear is closely tied to lack of faith.

I was thinking about that scripture in Revelation that says the fearful will not enter the gates but are cast into the fire.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8

We don't want to be like that but know He is in control. Nothing can happen to us that He doesn't allow. And if we love Him it works for good. And neither do we want to complain about what He has for us.

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Acts 20:35

Let us be cheerful givers!

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7

Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
Acts 11:29

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
2 Corinthians 8:12

Let us do what we can!

Looks like there's been a lot of growing going on hidden under the jungle...

Cute lil creation there too...

And a not so cute creation relaxing in the heat of the day outside my window...

Awesome creations still. Just not something you want to get close to.

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
Acts 28:3-6

Bringing order out of chaos to make shirts...

Reminds me how God is a God of order. When people step outside of this there is chaos and confusion. His ways are always good!

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Let all things be done decently and in order.
1 Corinthians 14:33, 40

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Titus 1:5

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Colossians 2:5
Let us have our lives in order, meek and submitted under God and in our roles.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3

Next psalm readings here to edify...

(And I added the audio to my serving post here.

I was listening to an audio from a brother on judging yourself. Something we must do on a constant basis. We are always making choices and decisions on what we will do and not do and such. Let us keep doing that and testing it all to the Word.

Let us keep being children of the day!
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thessalonians 5:5

He has called us out of the night!

Keep pressing on sisters! We know we can never slacken our striving on in the battle!

Grace, mercy, and peace to you in the Lord!

Your fellow soldier,
Sister Chayil
