Today's Edification (25 January 2024)

Salutations to my sisters in the Lord!

Another day...to serve the one true and living God!

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke 16:13

Let us have a heart for serving Him alone! May all our treasures be above with Him and things which are eternal.

Final Luke reading here...

Our Lord is risen and coming back again for His own soon!

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Deuteronomy 31:8

We know the Lord will not forsake us! We can press on in the faith trusting in this! We do not know the future but that's some great comfort there! Of course we walk by faith and we cannot see or 'feel' Him but He told us He will be with us and sent the Comforter.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Hebrews 13:5-6

Whether there are other saints in your life physically to encourage you or you walk alone in the faith...lean on Him and keep remembering that we are pilgrims here just passing through! We are appointed unto suffering so let us press on in His strength!

Here's an audio with scripture and thoughts on that...

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 25:35-36,40

Good to keep that in mind...what we do or don't do as unto the Lord or not.

How do we love God? It's an often completely misunderstood concept in today's deceived world. May we simply find the truth in His Word!

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:15

Couldn't be simpler to understand right sisters?! But I used to be blind to that so are others too until they are illuminated and have a willing heart to follow the Lord completely. Let us strive to keep His commandments for us today and whatever is for our roles.

I was pondering how people (including ourselves) have to seek and strive to enter the kingdom and find the truth etc. It's putting forth a lot of effort. It's why you can't force anyone to see the truth or follow Christ. You can give them truth but if they're not seeking it won't profit them. Maybe the seeds will grow one day but we know how few it will be who find it. Keep striving and seeking sisters!

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Acts 17:27

Thank you sisters for sharing these scripture pictures...

We sure know the Lord is a bright light and a consuming fire!

Thankful for our Saviour.

Good things for His people who walk in His ways!

True wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is in the Lord and His ways. Let us seek Him and His ways always!

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Proverbs 2:2-8

Keep pressing on in the battle, not growing weary in well doing! Hold fast!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
