Today's Edification (21 January 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are striving in Him, in truth and humility. We always need to be testing our lives to make sure we haven't slipped in any area. But we just keep striving on don't we! The Lord helps us.

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:7

Here's some more psalm readings to edify...

What treasures to find hidden under the leaves...

Simple good, pure, and true pleasures!

Many blessings the Lord provided!

I had a trip to the children's again. Thankful to the Lord for safe travels. While death would be gain for a saint...thankful to not experience the inbetween bit of injury. More time to serve the Lord!

So I will have my serving ministry to labour at here. Keep striving with joy in whatever ministry the Lord has called you too sisters! If you're faced with a big task...just do one thing at a time whether it's a mountain of dishes or laundry or produce to use or thousands of souls who haven't heard the gospel. One thing and day at a time.

A woman at the petrol station was thankful for a gospel card. One thing I have changed the last several months about how I give checkout people the gospel is I say a little more about it and linger a little longer to see what they say. But usually it's a situation that only is fitting for something quick but praise God they have the help on the card if they want it!

Gospel goes out at a highway rest stop too...

Maybe a weary traveler who needs some living water will find it!

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Isaiah 28:12

Took some fruit and veggie blessings along from the garden too...

May we be fruitful in the Lord too! And have all the fruits of the Spirit. I got to listen to some good edifying while driving. And there was a lot of time to ponder in the three hours. It's good to take time to reflect, ponder, test, see if you said and did things right etc. The Lord convicts us where needed or we can be content where we did what was right which is our reasonable service for His glory.

Here's some scriptures to edify you! (on being humble, contrite etc)

I sometimes think of this scripture and it is comforting. We can trust in Him always no matter what the world does or thinks of us!

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

John 9:35-38

And this one is good too!

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:37

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Psalm 94:14

This can always be our comfort on this earth, now and into the future! As long as we are being obedient and striving in all truth of course! Outside of the Lord there is nothing certain! Trust in Him through these perilous times sisters, where true love is waxed cold.

If we are not in the truth this will happen, and I don't want that for anyone...

But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 8:12

Follow hard after Christ and the truth sisters...no matter what!

I was thinking of the dove that Noah sent out of the ark when the waters were receding off the earth. It found no place of rest. Don't you think we can feel like that too sisters, in our heart...living in this world we are not a part of?

Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;

But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

Genesis 8:8-9

We can rest in Christ through it all until we get to that eternal rest with Him! Strive on!

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:11

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 14:13

Let us love one another in deed and in truth...

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

1 John 3:18-19

Keep striving in good works sisters! Crucify that flesh and walk in the Spirit!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
