Today's Encouragement (2 October 2023)

Hello holy sisters!

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Hebrews 3:1-2

Let us consider our great Saviour! We know we must look to Him and abide in Him to be saved.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:2-3

I was thinking about how God chose Mary to bear the Saviour and how she had 'found favour/grace' with God.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

Luke 1:30

I'm sure she was a godly young woman as also were John's parents...

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Luke 1:5-6

We know we too have to be acceptable to God in Christ to be received. God has to accept us rather than the commonly heard false idea of us 'accepting Jesus' in our heart. We don't want to be deceived by deception that abounds in these days.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

Luke 11:3

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Acts 2:46

Thank you for the picture sister. I love thinking about the way of life. We know that is the narrow way following after Christ.

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:14

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Proverbs 6:23

He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

Proverbs 10:17

And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

Jeremiah 21:8

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Acts 2:28

In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Proverbs 12:28

What a blessing to know the truth and way of life! Let's keep striving to walk in it and not err from it.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Isaiah 35:8

God's ways are always good. His ways are life and man's rebellious ways lead to death.

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 1:78-79

Let us keep striving to remain in the right ways of the Lord sisters. Hold fast!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
