Today's Encouragement (11 July 2023)

Greetings godly sisters!

Here is a new day to serve the Lord our great and holy God! 

Thank you sisters for the encouragement today! I appreciate my sisters who love the Lord and His Word and ways! 

I share these scriptures I love too...

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:25-26

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

Psalm 42:1-2

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Psalm 63:1

So awesome they are aren't they and that's our heart too amen sisters?! Let us be seeking after Him with all that we are! And we know He fills and satisfies us! 

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

Jeremiah 31:25

 

Nice to see the garlic plants emerge from the weeds... 

Beautiful sunny afternoon for garden work it was. 

Pretty and peaceful butterfly creation... 

I worked on some mending too... 

I like the thought of salvaging things and getting more 'life' out of them. We want to be wise with what the Lord gave us and not wasteful. 

Added elastic to a skirt with a zip... 

I wasn't sure if that was possible lol but I learned something new. The skirt was much too large for me, otherwise I might just take in a bit at the top but it's also a thick fabric so elastic is a good option to fix the problem. 

So I sewed a casing for the elastic in and reached up between the lining and the outter to insert it and then had to sew it in next to the zip as opposed to what you normally do of sewing the elastic ends together. It may be different for different skirts depending on how they are made at the top but just passing on the idea if any of you need to modify too large skirts! 

I hope all my sister's works are going along well wherever on this earth you are. God sees us all at once and even though we are all family, yet we are scattered for now but shining our lights in very dark places! And He can use us to affect those around us also and be salt and perhaps bring some conviction to some by our godly life. We know as it says in 1 Peter 3 about winning a husband without a word, we also know others are watching so we want to be a good example always and even if no one sees of course as we do our works unto the Lord first. And we can also be ready to share truth and the hope we have and the good news of our Saviour who set us free! We have work to do that's for sure! We are working for the One who made our way to the Father...Jesus Christ! 

Hold fast sisters and keep shining!
