Today's Encouragement (12 December 2022)

Greetings to my sisters! 

Hope all is well in your life and you're striving on most importantly! 

A sister shared this the other day and it's true... 

There are a lot of personal greetings in the scriptures amongst the saints. 

Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

Philippians 4:21

And also Jesus said this... 

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:46-48

God's ways are higher than man's and not always what our flesh may want to do but we strive to obey Him and be 'perfect'! 

Garlic harvesting... 

Good blessings we don't want to take forgranted. We are to be content with food and raiment. But we have so much variety of food don't we and not just something like bread everyday which would be good to keep us going still! A sister says garlic reminds her of the Israelites complaining in the wilderness and wanting to go back to Egypt. 

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

Numbers 11:5-6

We don't want to be like that in any way. 

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:6,11-12

We're blessed to have examples. I know we may hear a lot of complainers in this world...but we sisters have been called to a much higher way and ought to know better! Let not complaining and unthankfulness be once named amongst us and if we ever have it, root it our quickly! Praise God for all He has done for us!! We are truly rich! 

We don't want to complain about the weather, our food, our life situations, our health, lack of comforts, things going 'wrong', and on and on. Let's remember all we have in Christ and how He has called us to contentment and thankfulness!

And some sunshine for you sisters in colder climates... 

God's creation is amazing and shows His handiwork and a glimpse of His great power and wisdom in it all. He is greater than it all! And we get to serve Him. How awesome is that! 

Well sister saints I guess that's all I have to share right now. Lord willing I will be back tomorrow to share more edification here. Stand fast in the truth sister saints! What a joy to serve the Lord and love Him and hunger and thirst after Him and His righteousness!
