Today's Encouragement (14 June 2022)

Greetings sisters!

I'm popping back in briefly with some simple edification. Hope your day has been going well.

I love this scripture of a good example of some saints that brother Paul was commending...

For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.

2 Corinthians 9:1-2

And I love the bit about their zeal having provoked many! Yes we can all do that for each other too. And we know we are to provoke unto love and good works! How awesome!

So I got the 2nd skirt finished and I'm glad to be done!

Will be shipped off tomorrow as I've got to go into the city to do some shopping...Lord willing.

I saw this fallen tree...

...and thought of spiritual lessons from it like what happens if we are not deeply rooted in Christ or not bearing fruit in Him...we fail or are chopped off and wither. We must keep connected to the Lord for our strength and the power we need to overcome sin and the flesh and bear much fruit!

Thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures...

Praise God for the light of Christ who came into the world!

We have many precious things today. We don't want to trample this or take it lightly.

And here's a sister's extra thought and scripture on my post yesterday...

Yes and we also can't then believe that we serve a powerful God but one who's too weak to teach people the truth so there's 35 or so thousand different denominations with all different truths. No. They are not of God because He is the truth. And His people love truth not lies.

And it's good to be reminded that we are in a spiritual battle isn't it sisters.

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

But we can overcome because we have been given what we need. We just need to use it all.

Hold fast sister soldiers! Let's look to our Saviour who has overcome the world and He is the author and finisher of our faith! In Him we can have the victory!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
