Today's Edification (10 January, 2022)

Greetings sisters!

One more day is here! And I spend some time in it coming back here and encouraging you with some edifying content.

I share a few scriptures today. One's to magnify the Lord for His righteousness and holiness. The more we sisters grow and learn about the Lord and how holy He is we also see how far man is from it and it surely makes us hunger and thirst after righteousness.

We sisters often speak about the 'holy women of old' referenced in 1 Peter 3. And we want to be like those who have gone before us in the faith and strived on unto the end. I'm glad we have been given examples in scriptures...some good and some bad. We can learn much from them and be encouraged what many went through too. We do see the great sufferings many holy brethren went through before us. Christ is our ultimate example in that. In general we have an easier life...in that we live in countries where we are not yet being physically threatened too much. But that could change. Yet we still know some of the afflictions of the gospel in the seperation and reproaches and flesh killing and battles and such that come with being holy for our God. It's all just our obedience and reasonable service is it not sisters.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Psalm 119:172

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Psalm 17:15

And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

Psalm 35:28

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Psalm 145:17

My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

Psalm 71:15-16

Let us keep seeking first God's righteousness. We don't listen to those who say He doesn't care how we live.

I share some delicious chickpea potato soup with naan bread...

Praise the Lord for providing one more day!

It was another warm day...

With some pretty clouds around.

With a beautiful sunset....

And even a little rainbow...how awesome.

How was it by you? There's always something to marvel at in God's creation no matter where you live. Glory to the Creator! We are His creations too...and we fit in with what He wants from us.

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isaiah 64:8

I must go now sisters...but glad I could share a bit to encourage you...and to just let you know I am still striving on strong in the Lord! He is worthy! That's something maybe some don't understand...we may think we have 'nothing' to share to edify the sisters...but no matter how 'small' or 'big' it's all encouraging to know of holy obedient sister saints striving on in the faith.

Fight the good fight of faith sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
