Greetings sister saints!
How are you going today? I hope and pray well sisters!
Amen...let us have all our Ephesians 6 armour on sisters! Praise God we can have such an armour!
Sisters don't listen to people who say we don't have to strive hard to follow after Christ and that He did it all. Yes He said His yoke is easy and His burden light but He said we shall be persecuted and told us to strive and to keep His commandments lest we be left outside the gates and cast into outer darkness.
There is so much freedom and simplicity in Him isn't there sisters! I know of some of you who are getting rid of things that are not becoming for this life in Christ, sinful things or vain empty worldly things but our true treasures are in heaven! What bondages to sin, the world, and the flesh we were in before! Rejoice we have been set free!
Look at all these action words sisters! I hope we are all being zealous for good works of obedience and leaving all sin! Strive on sisters!
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:14
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:11-12
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

2 Corinthians 7:1
What a great God there is sisters! The one true living God who created this all and sent His Son into the world and is perfectly holy! Let us fear Him and love Him, keeping His commands!
I was thinking how words are powerful. They can kill and give life.
We know words can hurt. We know we may face much in the way of persecution for our faith through words against us. Words of false accusation and slander, gossip and evil speaking, lies and mockery.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Matthew 5:11-12
Or there can be words of the deceiver and people working for him which may sound good at first but they lead to death. Be on guard sisters!
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Romans 16:18
But what life giving words are the encouragement from saints! Words of support, care, understanding, love, teaching, thoughts and prayers. How precious are those who truly love the Lord and the brethren!
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 4:29
And we have the best words of all...the Words of God...and the Word Himself!
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Proverbs 30:5
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;1 John 1:1
Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

I finished sewing my shirt that I was working on, today. Praise God for being able to do so. I hope to post a 'how to' on my blog here in the next few days Lord willing.
