Edifying in Holiness

Greetings sisters!

How was or is your day in the Lord? Mine has been filled with much good to do and so let us go about what we should even if the world thinks it's not important or a waste of time. We are living for eternity, laying up treasures in heaven, glorifying our Lord who owns us.

A sister was sharing about how she wants her speech to be pure and holy. And we all do don't we sisters! We know God wants that. So let's share some encouraging verses on that and also how we are to be holy for the Lord.

And it's all because we have faith in our Saviour who died for us and rose again. We leave behind our old life and bring forth fruit worthy of that repentance. The Lord has given us of His Spirit, opening our eyes and hearts, and so we are born from above. What a blessing and how rich we are to know the way in Christ! Let us press on in obeying God, living holy lives, sisters, because of what He has done and our living faith in Him! So today we are striving to be obedient and blameless, pure before God pleasing to Him! Let us endure in this sisters! We know not when our end shall be! We shall overcome by the Lamb's blood and the word of our testimony!

So on to some of God's Word to edify us all in our desire to be holy.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

2 Timothy 1:9

(Glory to the Creator for the pretty flowers too!)

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Amen!

We don't want to be like this do we (and it's talking about some young widows here)...

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

1 Timothy 5:13

Instead may we be like this...chaste (and the rest)...

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:4-5

And not being idle but keeping busy in all good things for us godly women!

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matthew 12:36-37

Others are also watching us. First of all we have been told to watch our words and let them be pure...which is pleasing to God. We also want to be a blameless witness to those around us don't we.

We see that it is great maturity to be able to control our tongues.

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

James 3:2

If we can control the tongue (and also what we write I'm sure) as it says we are able to bridle the whole body. It takes self cotrol to do so and that is something we all must have for sure!

For those living with people who are not true saints, and are of the world therefore, it's going to be hard to endure the talk that goes on sometimes. And also those living out in the world or whenever we have to be around others too. Because God doesn't just remove us from this world but keeps us in it to be His witnesses and share His good news to the lost. But we must keep ourselves as unspotted from it all as we can.

We sisters can be a witness in not partaking in it but being seperate. Our words ought to be about good and pure things. And as this sister and I were talking of how we react to what they are saying too. We don't laugh or smile at wicked or sinful things they say but instead it grieves us. They may be convicted if we don't join in too. Most of all it is pleasing to the Father who owns us for us to have pure words and reactions.

Thank you sister for this one...

Cute lil lamb creation...

Pretty sunlight shining on my potatoes for tea...

I added this scripture to a picture from a sister and put it on my phone. It reminds me of the love of the brethren which is precious:-)

And I share a plate of tuna potato bake with crispy cheese with coleslaw. Praise God for providing good foods!

I must go now! Praise God there is so much to do which is good pure and true. What a blessing to work with our hands! And then we get to rest these tired bodies after it.

I love all you sisters I know and are in daily fellowship with, very much. You all love the Lord and desire to please Him, living holy lives. That is precious. And maybe there are others reading or who may come across this. I love you all too and I hope you are seeking the Lord with all that you are! Test your life to the gospel (below) as so many are deceived in these last days!

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3:13-14

Love in Christ,
