Are You Faithful in What You Have?

Greetings in Christ sisters!

How are you? The Lord has blessed us with another day...so let us rejoice and be glad in it serving Him faithfully.

Today I thought I would encourage us to think about being faithful in what we have in the life we have been called to.

First of all we know we have a faithful God. We can trust Him sisters!

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:9

And we know we want to and must be faithful to Him.

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2

How about being faithful in what the Lord has in our lives? We all have different lives to live. There are no two the same of course. We are all different in our abilities and gifts but we are to each be faithful in what we have been given to do.

So let's think about a few specific things.

What about being faithful to your keeper at home duties and to the jobs that are yours? These may be greatly varied for each of us but we all know what we need to do.

Some things may be cooking, washing clothes, cleaning, gardening, animal care etc. Each of us may have a few such things or many but either way we ought to be faithful and diligent in whatever they are.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Proverbs 31:27

Being faithful to a husband, as a helper, and to look after children (if you have either of them). We know the reason God created woman, so that's a very important one to be faithful at.

We should be faithful to the saints in our lives. If the Lord has blessed us to know of other believers we ought to love them and in ways we can edifying and encouraging, bearing burdens and praying one for another.

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;

3 John 1:5

We can be faithful in laboring in the gospel however we can do it in each of our lives. And we can be faithful in being prepared and ready to give an answer. God will use faithful workers for Him.

Of course we are limited with our capabilities because we are human and can't do everything at once but we have to know what our duties are and the most important ones according to God's Word and do them the best we can. And we can rejoice to do them and do them with the right motive. We are to be a shining light to all so the Father is glorified. Especially if we have unbelievers in our lives, we want to be a good witness for Christ. Faithfulness to the brethren is very important too as there is to be great love, care, and unity in the body. Of course faithfulness to the Lord comes first in loving Him first and striving to obey Him but we know nothing in this life is separated from Him and what we do is pleasing to Him and what He commands so we must do it unto Him and in the right spirit. Ultimately being faithful in your cooking to feed others is being faithful to God because women are to be about such business. Let's not forget that sisters. Be faithful in those things that seem 'small' too.

I'm sure you can think of many other specific areas in your life that you are responsible for and should be faithful in. I just thought of some which I briefly wrote about and I want to work on daily faithfulness in my own life to what I should be.

We also should not be discouraged if we do our best and yet that still isn't up to the standards we have made for ourselves. You might have the responsibility to clean the house but you can't be doing it all the time to the neglect of other areas so of course it is all a balance that we all have to work out in each of our lives.

Here's an audio and scripture reading for you to go along with this.

Remember the parable of the talents...some had more and some less but it matters whether we are faithful in what we do have amen sisters.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Luke 16:10

(Read that again, we don't want to be unjust in least do we as it says we are unjust in much then. No let's be faithful sisters.)

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 25:23

And we may think what we have is small or unimportant but we need to be careful thinking that. We ought to do it faithfully and not necessarily be looking elsewhere lest we be discontent or unfaithful in what we have as our duty.

And here's some pictures gifts from a faithful sister saint who faithfully does what she can to edify the sisters daily. And in between are some scriptures shared from faithful saints who edify each other daily. Ponder them all and give glory to God for the creation.

Praise God for His Word and for being able to share and edify one another with it.

I will go now sisters. I hope to be faithful in blogging daily and if my life changes and I couldn't do it so often I would let you know if I could. We don't know what the future holds for any of us but we have today so let's rejoice in it sisters!

Glory to our God!

Love to you sister saints!

Be faithful!
