Sisters Prepared!

Greetings sisters!

What a blessing to serve such a great God that we do! He is so good to us all...to let us live after we sinned against Him so badly. May we humbly serve Him with our whole life! He is worthy sisters, amen!

For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

Deuteronomy 10:17-21

I was reading this this morning...

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Colossians 4:5-6

And it's something we sisters are always working on and learning from His Word.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:15

That's a command isn't it...be ready always. Obviously we don't know everything straight away after coming to Christ in truth through His gospel but if we truly are seeking, the Lord will help guide us and grow us and we know He will give us wisdom if we ask.

We know it is of the most importance to be ready to share the life saving gospel. And obviously as women, knowing (and first living right of course) and being prepared to give an answer on or teach on the women's subjects is important too. And there may be opportunities for us to speak, giving an answer and defending God's truth in our daily lives as we go about being godly Titus 2 women or with those we reach out to.

All of us sisters have some kind of interactions with others or have to see and hear what they do. We can learn much from that and be preparing in our minds or looking for opportunities to speak God's truth. We know such times will definitely arise in our lives!

We can learn from even simple everyday things.

Today, I heard a family member complaining about the cold and rainy weather so I thought of this scripture...

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:10-12

I want to fear God and not complain about anything. Are we not to give thanks in all things sisters!

And I heard the same family member talking about fighting for freedom and protecting people's lives. So I thought of this verse...because it's sad that they can fight for personal freedoms and a good life here on earth and not fight for people's souls. And this is people who claim to be followers of Christ.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mark 8:36

So if we are constantly thinking about the things of God then we will be not of an earthly mindset. We are to be setting our affections on things above aren't we? And walking in the Spirit not the flesh. And in such situations where we may have an opportunity to share God's truth then we will be more prepared.

Of course all of us sisters are not the same. Some like me, might come from being super quiet and have to work ten times harder in order to be able to speak to people as someone who talks more. On the other hand of course, a super talkative woman may have to talk less especially in certain situations and have to work ten times harder to keep from speaking where she shouldn't or what she shouldn't. We know from 1 Peter 3 and elsewhere that a woman is to have a quiet spirit (and not teach in the body gather per 1 Timothy 2, 1 Corinthians 14) so there are blessings to being a shy woman no doubt but also in this area I am speaking of in being prepared some challenges. We all have to work hard to be in our proper roles in Christ. We know we are to shine our lights and do good works so the Father will be glorified. And we know that God has us in the body all working together edifying and encouraging one another. We are not all the same but we all strive to be holy and blameless, aiming for perfection until the Father takes us home if we endure faithfully.

What a precious treasure of the gospel we sisters carry and as we mature in the faith we will be preparing and ready to give an answer as we learn more of God and His Word as the Spirit guides us.

What a blessing!

(What I write doesn't always fit with my post titles but the good thing is...guess what, it doesn't even matter! If anyone who reads is worried about that well I'm sure they have more serious issues to deal with.)

I thought this was interesting.

Two pictures taken out of my room window 4 months apart. Most all of the grass was brown and dead and now it is full of life. It happens gradually so it's hard to notice it happening. And it's just water that does that! God's amazing creations of the seasons and how the plants grow and respond to that.

It kind of reminded me of our growth in Christ. Sometimes we might think we aren't growing and we know we want to be and we keep seeking in His Word but then when we look back a little we can see it better. Anyway. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Praise God for the living water!

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John 4:10

Thank you sister for these two pictures! Awesome creations with some of His Words! His power and wisdom is on display for all the world to see!

OK sisters that's all from me for now and I shall go. It seems there's so many things to do right now and I can only do so much but I got to edify and encourage you sisters one more day. Praise God for being able to share here.

Until next time sisters...tomorrow Lord willing...hold fast!

Love in Christ,

...from one of God's servants
