For Your Day

Greetings today sisters!

I wanted to pop in here with a post for you with a few things to edify us all.

It certainly helps to remind myself at least when I think this life in Christ is hard that we must not care what anyone else thinks of us. We live to please God, to bring Him glory, and to prepare for eternity. It's about having an undivided heart for the Lord. We certainly will have to disappoint, stand against, or avoid family or other people in order to obey God first. And it is all out of love for God and ultimately love for others who in the end can only see truth if someone stands for it.

"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."

Galatians 1:10

A sister and I were messaging...

And she wrote this and shared a scripture passage...

"And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."

1 Corinthians 9:23-27

It's a good one to think about and how we are in a race! And we must endure it and see it through to the end. And in that we cannot allow anyone to distract us or try to lure us away from our focus on Christ and things above. And we just take it one day at a time and not worry about tomorrow.

I read this Psalm this morning and I thought it was edifying to ponder.

"I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.

I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

I cried unto thee, O Lord : I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me."

Psalm 142:1-7

Indeed all our hope and trust must be in the Lord. He is our refuge! We know there are so few who love the Lord and obey Him so we must look to Him for all our strength and hope!

"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."

Psalm 27:10

How wonderful that we can be part of Christ's family!

"But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

Matthew 12:48-50

We have a great and mighty Father, sisters!

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not."

1 John 3:1

Our God is indeed our refuge and all we really need.

Praise God that He has His people wherever He has them.

"Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace."

Romans 11:5

One day if we endure we shall all rest from our labours and be with Him and all those who love Him.

Thank you sister for these...

What wonderful scriptures!

I shall go for now. I hope this could bless and edify your day in the Lord.

Until tomorrow...
