Why Do I Even Have a Blog?

"Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
(2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)

My blog is for the glory of God. As a new creation in Him and a follower of Christ I am to be an example to others, as Paul wrote to Timothy to be an example of the believers, and of a life transformed by the power of the Spirit. You can read some of my gospel testimony here.

Another verse says to let your light shine before men...the reason?...so the Father is glorified!

And I have my blog in love for the brethren and for the lost.

"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
(1 Peter 1:22-23)

No I have no desire to be a writer nor do I think that I am one. Some people start blogs just because they want to write and some start them dedicated solely for cooking or sewing etc, but no if it wasn't for my Lord I wouldn't be writing to you here and I have no desire to write about anything else except all the things that pertain to life and godliness as a woman and to bring glory to the Creator through sharing His works of Creation.

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."
(Ephesians 4:29)

In person I might be almost as quiet as a mouse, but it's true that I do better at writing than speech so I will do my best to share my simple life in Christ via writing on this blog. As women we are about the home largely as commanded in the Word and so all the things that come with that can be edifying to share with others facing the same simple things as cooking, cleaning, gardening, or sewing etc. No it's not necessarily popular these days but we go on as it is pleasing to our God.

The internet, though of course mostly dark, is a tool that we can use today for God's glory and that is what saints are using it for. And in these days of apostasy we can seek to meet online and encourage one another in the faith. There is so much in scripture about building up one another/edifying each other.

"Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church."
(1 Corinthians 14:12)

Being a woman's blog, I will therefore only cover women's related subjects in any detail as we know from scripture that women do not do the teaching in the body of Christ, usurping the men's authority. So my blog can be to share the truth as pertaining to women and maybe someone will see that truth and be convicted.

"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
(Ephesians 4:15-16)

I also wanted to have a place to send people to to read about the gospel to eternal life. Yes we women can share the good news to the lost or claimed believers as we can and being prepared to do so is wise as well. I have this blog to send out to women and I also got some gospel cards printed because as we go about our everyday life as women sometimes opportunities may arise where it is appropriate to do so.

There are of course many so called Christian blogs and websites out there on the internet. Most all are done by people who are into false ways of Christianity today. And as women we need to be very careful as we know these last days many are deceived and we so easily could be as well. We know satan can act as an angel of light and do signs and wonders too...and we know about wolves in sheep's clothing also. We know that Eve was deceived. And so we too can easily be if we are not grounded in the Word and led by the Spirit, keeping our guard up and not roaming the internet for this or that theological teaching.

There are many women's blogs around and so we need to test any we come across to the Word and see if they are biblical before we spend our time regularly reading/following them. Most are compromised and feministic, sad to say, very unbiblical.

In the past, I too was into following some blogs that I now know are unbiblical so I have since reached out to most of them with the biblical gospel and shared my blog to try to help them in truth. I pray they repent and see the true narrow road to eternal life and leave false man made religion behind.

This verse also comes to mind with some soberness about it that either me, the writer, or you, the reader, could be hardened by sin and so we remind each other to press on and strive on against sin. We know that if we are not careful, little by little, we can compromise and if we are wise we consider the verse that also says to take heed lest we fall if we think we are standing.

"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"
(Hebrews 10:12-14)

So that is the reason I am writing to you daily or as often as I can. Do I do any of this because it is easy? No, though it is my pleasure to do so to encourage and edify the saints and to perhaps help someone in truth. Yep, I don't necessarily want people to know more about me but if it can help someone I am all for it and to glorify God. I just have to trust that the Lord will protect me and use me for His purpose and all that.

I dearly love the true holy brethren and I want to encourage all those who are out there, few as they may be, to be fighting the good fight of faith and looking for our blessed return of our Lord when we shall all be gathered together free from all the cares and pains and persecutions of this life.

No I do not know how long the Lord will allow me and other saints to be able to share on our blogs but for now we continue on until we can go on no longer or the Lord takes us home.
