Greetings sister saints!
Here I am again and you are too! It is another day to serve our Lord! I hope you're pressing on in that! He is so worthy and nothing else matters really. Let us keep preparing for eternity.
Let us abide in the grace of Christ and be thankful in all He has done for us! It is all about Him and for His glory. And His goodness leads us to repentance and to follow His ways. But we never put our obedience before all He has done. Our Saviour Jesus Christ is our only hope and His forgiveness, mercy, grace, and love in all He did at His death at Calvary.
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
Hebrews 13:12-14
What a precious gift He gave. He bore our sins. We could never atone for them or be justified from them without Him.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Peter 3:18
Indeed He was completely innocent. What amazing love this is. May we be eternally grateful and live in such a manner.
God's word is so good. Let us feed on it and lay aside all that is not right and edifying and godly for our reading content. If the Word isn't first and foremost then all the words of man are going to deceive us as I don't know of anyone biblical who writes books anyway so we don't listen to deception even if it is surrounded by truth too but cleave to the Lord our God and Him will we serve and heed.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:7-11
Yes may God be glorified in all we do!
I am blessed to have so much time to listen to the Word when traveling and working and also spending time in it in writing here and sharing with my sisters too and more. But you are never going to run out of truths to dig into and be reminded of and examine your life to see if you are living it out. Just in our daily life there are many things to put into practice. For some examples we may come across situations that we do not like what others do and we are commanded to live in peace with all so instead of quarreling we keep quiet. And in our dealings with the world, it is our witness for Christ that they see in all how we behave towards them whether or not we get to speak to them about it. So we live by the Word of how others are to be treated in love and mercy and patience and of course in any work situations we work hard and are honest and more. The Word teaches us what servants are to be like and in a way when we are working for someone even if it is to receive payment from them we can follow the example of how servants were to be to their masters. This is so the Lord and His ways are glorified and He is not blasphemed. There's just many areas to keep working on and testing our lives to the Word so we need to know what God teaches! Though of course much is summed up in loving God and others!
I guess it is also time for a picture catchup post here too! I didn't think I had as much as usual but that's OK too. I have still been keeping busy in various things for the most part though sometimes I am blessed with some quieter times and those are not in vain as we restore for the busier times.
All of the apples are now in...
They're good for eating but maybe some apple crumble coming up again too. (I only had to pick them while still a little green as the foxes were taking them.)
Garlic is planted...
Still summer crops growing though the heat seems to have dropped off now so not sure if these zucchinis will end up bearing much...
The new tomatoes are still going OK...
But the old ones are looking tired! And the mildew is in abundance on the older zucchinis and pumpkins...
So it is the end of one season going into another. Such is the cycle of life on this earth while it remains.
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22
But the brassicas will love whatever the weather here, so those are starting out well.
Some carrots are planted...
I just used seeds from one that had gone to seed from the last crop so I hope they work!
Pumpkins almost ready for harvest...
I saw my first winter 'enemies' in these stinging nettles. Yes I'm sure they can be blessings too but for me they overrun the garden all winter long and they're painful to deal with.
Oh well, I think such is life because of the sin of man. In ways we know this world is not the way it was originally created. But one day there will be a new earth! So we look forward to that don't we and also we want to be ready and eligible for it!
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:13-14
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 21:1-7
That's wonderful isn't it.
Peaceful moments in busy days are blessings...
And there's always things to see in His creations as we go about life.
Peaceful little dove sitting in some water:) I get to watch the birds out the window as I wash dishes and cook!
Still sending out sewing orders here and there. And I had a few skirts to sew for someone so it's been a relatively busy period but calming down now I think but you never do know! Still keeping relatively busy with cleaning jobs as well. So that's a blessing too.
I invested in a lot of cleaning cloths that I found really good. They actually dry well instead of moving water from a to b like a lot of fabric types do. Anyway, it's just a blessing:)
And I am still keeping time to help at the children's and also in the garden here and some other Titus 2 works and time for my sisters I fellowship with and here on my blog. So it's a nice variety of things the Lord has for me to do. And I want to be faithful in it all and do my best in it.
So I think that's all for now sisters! Keep going strong in all the Lord has for you as we all have different lives, duties, and responsibilities and such like! Let us not grow weary in any good thing especially in the faith. Our bodies grow weary after hard work but then we get to rest up and restore.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So let us be renewed day by day in our hearts and minds and spirits! Let us labour for that which is eternal having our affections and treasures above! Hold fast sisters. Love to you in His holy name.
