Today's Edification (9 March 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

Amen let us be thankful above all things for God's great goodness in sending us Himself to die so we could live! And within that are many precious things as His love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, hope, peace, joy and so much more! God is good!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32

He is such a good giver and so we are to be as well! It is more blessed to give than to receive. Freely we have received may we freely give! It's so sad when people turn God and His truth into a money making business for their own greed and profit though. Surely we should cheerfully and freely give for those who labour in the gospel but people ask and beg for money and also falsely teach on the tithe from the old law too. There's so much more than money to give of course as well.

We can never pay for God's unspeakable gift and neither can we work our way to heaven but because of all He has done we are thankful and love Him much as indeed He first loved us. It is clear Jesus taught that love is the greatest and of course exampled that perfectly Himself.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:7-10

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17

Let us cleave to Him and strive to walk worthy of Him for He is so worthy.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:1-3

Keep going in all your duties the Lord has for you as godly women too! May we never grow weary in any good work. May we be ready to meet our Lord, watching and waiting no matter the hour, preparing for the marriage supper of the Lamb, and not getting entangled with the affairs of this life.

Grace, mercy and peace to you in His name.

Greetings again sisters!

I am here again to hopefully build you up in the faith! I trust you're pressing on after our Saviour and not getting entangled with the affairs of this life, and are laying aside every weight or sin.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Indeed we look to Jesus as He is our helper and our Shepherd.

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Luke 6:47-48

Indeed let us heed all the words of God throughout His Word to us! Then we shall be built upon a rock and won't get swept away in false doctrines and ways. May the Lord help us build. May we tear down that which is not of God but of the flesh, deception, and the adversary.

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Ephesians 3:1-9

Indeed we also hear God's words through those whom He sent! So much has been now revealed in Christ! Much will be required of us. We can't make up our own beliefs of what is more important than others.

I heard this scripture today...

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
2 Timothy 4:10

And really there's no new thing in the human heart is there. The world is alluring to many and all of us do need to be careful and guard against it as well. We can never think we are anything lest we fall. We know it can happen as we have been warned so we are not to be high minded but fear and be humble.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:15-17

Is just doesn't work to love the world and God. You cannot serve two masters. So many sadly choose the world, what's right in front of them in the here and now to satisfy their flesh. We are living to please our Lord and prepare for an eternity of joy and all good things in the presence of our loving Father and the One who died for us and rose again! May we keep working out our salvation with fear and trembling as we haven't finished our race yet! So keep striving on sisters, in the faith as well as in all the duties the Lord has given you! May we keep walking in sound doctrine of which Titus 2 for us women is!

Love to you in His name. Our Lord be magnified!

Today's Edification (7 March 2025)

Greetings again sisters!

Here I am again but this time extra brief as it's been a busy and long day for me. I'm sure you all know what those are and understand!

So I share this scripture to edify you!

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

2 Timothy 1:8-14

Let us truly live by every word of God and hunger to know His truth more and grow in it all. So Lord willing I will be back sharing here tomorrow. The Lord watches over His saints all over the world, few though they may be. But our Lord is mighty and in control. Let us submit to Him, trusting, and not be afraid of the things of this earth. May our faith be strong in our Father and may we rest in Him! Hold fast sisters and keep striving in the true faith once delivered to the saints. Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Today's Edification (6 March 2025)

Greetings in Christ my sisters!

I am back to share some edifying which hopefully is strengthening to you in some way! I love this scripture...

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Luke 22:31-32

If I know of any of my sisters I want to strengthen you in whatever ways I can! And so I do here anyway as well. But the Lord is our source of strength! His Word is very strengthening and encouraging also and what we live by!

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Isaiah 35:3-4

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Hebrews 12:11-14

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Romans 15:1-3

And yes I do know true siblings in the faith are very rare in these last days. It's sad but the way the Lord said things would go. Man's heart seems to always be inclined to evil. We know we need a new heart of the Spirit and also we must strive to enter the kingdom. We must obey all we know to do and keep seeking His will. The Lord wants us to care for one another the best that we can. I know we are scattered on this earth. And we each are responsible for what the Lord does have in our lives. So for one, I can use this blog to hopefully edify and strengthen my sisters in Christ, though I can communicate directly to the ones I am blessed to have in my life. So this is extra and maybe it's encouraging to anyone who may stumble across it or anyone seeking the truth!

May we keep fighting the good fight of faith sisters! The Lord is at hand and our redemption draws nearer. May we prepare to meet our God.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
1 Corinthians 16:23-24

Today's Edification (5 March 2025)

Hello again sisters!

Time for a bit more edifying for you here. I hope all your duties as godly women are going well wherever you are! I hope you are strong in the faith and looking ahead to our blessed hope and reward if we abide faithful!

Life is short sisters. Let us live it for the one who loved us and gave Himself for us!

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

James 4:14-15

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Psalm 90:10-12

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Isaiah 40:6-8

LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Psalm 39:4-7

May we be wise and prepare to meet our God. We want to meet Him in peace and not have His wrath come upon us. Oh let us flee to our Saviour to save us from our sins and the wrath and death that they bring. May we follow Him with pure hearts, repenting of our sins and seeking to honour and please Him.

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 6:18-20

Strong consolation...what a blessing! Indeed He is a God of comfort!

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
Romans 15:5

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies.
Philippians 2:1

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2 Thessalonians 2:16

Surely we are blessed in Him. Let us cleave to Him, hear His voice through His Word and the Spirit's conviction, and obey! Eternity is coming.

Strive on my sisters! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (4 March 2025)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

I hope you are striving on in the faith! I'm dropping in here with a little edifying truth from the Word. My day was busy and so sometimes I have less to write here and sometimes more but there's all sorts of things we each need to do and it's all good! And you just do them all the best you can. I'm thankful to be able to share some extra edifying in your day here as I'm sure you are edified in reading the Word yourself as well.

We know to love Him is to obey Him...

If ye love me, keep my commandments.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
John 14:15, 21, 23-24

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.
1 John 2:5

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1 John 5:3

We have His written word to know what pleases Him and what doesn't. He has done all He can for us now it is up to us to work with Him and find eternal life through Jesus our Saviour!

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 2:12-15

Keep going in all your godly women's works sisters. Let us not forget how different God's ways are from man's and all the Lord has delivered us from. His truth makes us free and His ways are good! May we keep on strong for Him and grow in our knowledge of Him!

Fervent love to you in His name. Hold fast!

Today's Edification (3 March 2025)

Hello sisters!

I hope this finds you well and pressing on into the kingdom of God!

Good scriptures here that teach us about repentance (or the lack thereof)...

O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
Jeremiah 4:14

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 33:11

When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
Ezekiel 33:18-19

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Acts 17:30

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Acts 26:20

Let us keep walking in the truth and light and repent when we need to lest we perish.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD. Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
Lamentations 3:40-41

Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psalm 26:2

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2 Corinthians 13:5

I was thinking today how even something like putting on your headcovering is so the Lord is glorified. We know a woman's hair is her glory, but we want our Lord to be glorified in all things!

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
Psalm 115:1
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11

And we clothe our bodies in simple coverings not in that which adorns ourselves to receive any glory of man but our adorning is a meek and quiet spirit of the inner man and good works. This is of great price to God and glorifies Him!

So keep pressing on in humility and peace and joy in the Lord sisters! He has done great things for us whereof we are glad and so thankful! Hold fast to Christ who shed His blood for us and rose again that we may live also!

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:21

Grace, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Today's Edification (2 March 2025)

Greetings sisters in the Lord!

God granted another day of His mercies and hope to us! How many great and precious blessings and promises we have in Him! I hope you're striving on after the truth!

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
Psalm 21:13

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
Psalm 57:5

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Psalm 8:1

The glory be to our great God always!

Sharing a few psalms on His mercy for it is great and precious and our hope!

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
Psalm 4:1

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
Psalm 5:7

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death.
Psalm 9:13

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
Psalm 13:5

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalm 23:6

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.
Psalm 25:7

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Psalm 25:10

I'm thankful for His mercy. I sure need it and we all do. I want to show mercy to others as well as I am no better than anyone. We all need His forgiveness and grace. Let us hope in Him!

I just came across this scripture today and it's a good one...

And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,

And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.

Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

2 Chronicles 19:5-7

I was pondering this scripture again...

Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Luke 16:27-31

And I'm sure you remember the context but how much less excuse will people have today who in many cases have easy access to the written word of God today! In there He told us all about His Son and how we can find eternal life through His name! But they do not hear His Son. But let us hear Him and follow!

Yes we know sin leads to death and so we repent of it and be cleansed in Christ's blood.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.
James 1:15-16

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23

We cannot 'continue in sin that grace may abound'. No. Let us fear our God and know He came to set us free from sin! He is mighty to save!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:7

It is good to remember that nothing we do in the Lord is in vain. We may do many things for people and even if they didn't appreciate it, trampled it or even betray you, you can just rejoice that nothing is in vain in the Lord! Man is just often labouring for himself and for nothing on this earth many times but in the Lord it is all worthwhile and good! I think that's comforting don't you.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58

The Lord sees all we do and that's what matters though we do remember man sees and we need to be a good witness and example of the believers also. We have a high calling don't we sisters! So keep striving on in your labours unto the Lord in whatever works the Lord has given you. Just keep doing your best as into the Lord and be faithful in it!

My love be with you in the faith and truth.

Today's Edification (1 March 2025)

Greetings sisters!

God granted life to us one more day! There are so many blessings in our days not to take for granted. Most importantly our Saviour and that we can know the way!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

I hope you are following after Him in spirit and in truth and cleaving to Him with purpose of heart! I am striving to but He is so worthy of so much!

This passage of scripture stood out to me today as there's nothing new that people are perverting the gospel of Christ to this day and even more so in extreme amounts. As brother Paul was saying here what he preached was by direct revelation of Jesus to him so we hear him. It is serious to not listen to the Lord.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

And they glorified God in me.

Galatians 1:6-24

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1 Corinthians 1:23

Yes God's ways are often thought foolish to the world but let us learn His ways and be truly wise. Our precious Saviour became a curse for us and went through much humiliation and pain. Let us serve Him with a thankful heart for His great love and love Him with all that we are. We too are to be crucified with Him.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:6

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 9:23-26

There's so much depth to ponder on in His Word. So let us sisters go forth in our days serving the One who died for us and rose again! And He is coming again to receive His own soon!

A new month is here. I guess it is time for a picture catch up post from the last few weeks then! Time does go by really fast. I hope we're all redeeming it in good things that please the Lord, and being ready for eternity, preparing to meet our God. What a great day that will be, one of soberness, and yet joy for those who are called to be with Him forever and ever!

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matthew 25:34

Finally all the pears are in and about gone...

They grow on the tree for some months and then you only have a short time to use or preserve them and it's all over quickly until next year if the Lord allows a harvest again! We know not what a day may bring forth let alone a whole year!

I made some pear butter too and canned it...

Just cooked the pears, blended them, added some cinnamon and ginger and a little sweetener and put them in the slow cooker for most of the day to thicken some. So good and I suppose you could also use it in recipes that call for applesauce. But it's just good eaten plain or on toast etc!

Still trying to tame the big overgrown apple tree and also the pear tree...

That's just a big bare branch shooting up to a place with leaves that's too high to reach so I took it out. Just sometimes pretty to look up through the green leaves at the blue sky and the sunshine. Such soothing colours God made in His creations!

And the tree rings are interesting too!

Zucchini flourishing...

I used to think zucchinis were 'bullet proof' good fruit producers but I learned otherwise this year. That picture is the new plant that is doing great like normal but the others are still struggling. True it has been a particularly dry summer and quite a few really hot days but still it seems unexplainable. Here's one example of how poorly they're doing. But it must have a cause and I would love to know and be able to fix it! But I've tried a few things to no avail.

So it will soon be time for this to happen to them physically but we don't want to be like that spiritually...
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Luke 3:9

There was this little pear tree just sitting not growing and yet not dying for years probably ten or so and so we started watering it more and added some fertilizer etc and that was what it needed to at least do something! It has so many more leaves at least.

It's reminds me of this scripture although it remains to be seen if it will produce good fruit in time...

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Luke 13:6-9

And I know Jesus was talking about Israel I believe but we can also be reminded again that not producing good fruit is a bad thing.
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luke 8:15

Would share a perfect apple with you!

And some potatoes from the soil...

There were bees in basically every pumpkin flower...

Thankful for whatever pumpkins that mature this year as things were too busy to plant them early enough.

(Just some farm creatures interacting:)

Meals for the freezer at the children's...

There's been quite a lot of traveling I've been needing to do back and forth from the children's.

The car I use (and own a small part of) has this fuel usage metre which is interesting and useful to help you save on fuel or drive in a way that helps to save it.

I'm thankful it's quite economical as they come as well, as I could do the math of working out for one example how much a trip to the children's is costing. It's a 500km round trip so you divide that by 100 (as it's measuring it in how many litres it uses per one hundred kilometers). And multiply that by 5.5 (which is what it says it uses per hundred kms on these trips). Then multiply that by say you have an average fuel cost of $1.75 a litre here. That gives you $48. I think that's how you work it out. I could be wrong as my math brain is hurting but it sounds right anyway. Just interesting I think especially if you're trying to be frugal with what the Lord provides!

There was a tiny bit of rain and it reminded me that rain still exists!

It's almost like 'What is that stuff?', it's been a long time since there was a decent amount. But it's all good and it will come eventually and it's nothing to worry about and we have all we need! The Lord is in control and the seasons will always be while the earth remains.
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22

And below is just a section of various pictures of His creations and creatures. Hopefully they're just peaceful for you and a glory to God who made it all!

I'm thankful for the good and pure things He let's us see and experience in this dark world.

So let us keep striving on sisters. We have a high calling in Christ so let us press forwards to it. Our treasures are above where Christ sits at the right hand of God. May we hold fast till He comes or we go to be with Him.
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
2 Corinthians 13:11
